A traditional holiday home on the Costa Blanca, Villa Campanita lies a short distance from the coastal villages of Calpe, Moraira and nearby Benissa. The house was built in 1826 and has been thoroughly renovated, retaining features like wooden beamed ceilings and cool, tiled floors. A beautiful terrace with eye-catching pool leads you by steps up to this 3-bedroom villa.

You have a large garden to enjoy at Villa Campanita, with a barbecue and garden furniture for those long days in the sun. An outdoor shower accompanies the pool, and the covered terrace with seating provides some shade.

Inside, there is a spacious living and dining room with an open fireplace, which has direct access to the patio area. The kitchen is also on this floor, along with two of the three bedrooms – both of these have French beds, and one has its en suite bathroom with bath. The other has the use of a separate shower room on the same level.

On the upper floor, you will find the master suite, which features a French bed, open fireplace, TV and music system. There is also a dining table perfect for a leisurely breakfast. The house offers air-conditioning, electric heating and free Wi-Fi.

Villa Campanita is only 7.2km from the centre of Calpe, a popular coastal village which offers excellent leisure facilities including many restaurants and bars, a cinema and aquatic centre. Children are sure to want to visit some of the adventures parks like Aqualandia and Terra Mitica, which lie further down the coast near Benidorm, and you have a beach to enjoy 5km from the villa.

Adults won’t find any shortage of adventures either, as the rugged countryside around this region is perfect for walking, cycling or many other outdoor activities. The mountains of the Serra de Bèrnia I Ferrer lie west of Benissa, and are not to be missed.

Right by the sea, the Costa Blanca village of Calpe is a well-known holiday destination on Spain’s eastern coast. Just under an hour from Alicante and 30 minutes from Benidorm, it enjoys an enviable location where the views are spectacular, and the area lends itself to energetic outdoor activity as well as lounging on the beach.

The centre of Calpe is well-equipped for visitors, with a supermarket, post office, bank and some specialist shops. Of course, you will find plenty of restaurants and bars, and there’s a museum, cinema, aquatic centre and a fitness centre with sauna. Twice-weekly markets give you more to explore, and fiestas in early August and late October are not to be missed, if you’re lucky enough to be around. It’s mild in Calpe even in the winter, so it’s well worth a trip even after summer has passed.
