"This cottage is absolutely beautiful, clean, warm, and does not want for nothing, We had a wonderful warm welcome from Heather, lovely bottle of wine, Chocs, milk, coffee and tea. We had a wonderful few days , adored this little gem so we will be coming back."
    David – 25 Oct 2018
"Nice and clean cottage in a peaceful location. Not much in the way of local amenities although I understand the nearby pub which appears to have undergone substantial refurbishment should be open soon.Like some other people have noted, we found the double bed to be rather uncomfortable. It probably needs a better mattress and / or base. On the whole it's a nice property and the owner was friendly and helpful."
    Anne – 21 Oct 2018
"Fabulous cottage in a lovely setting and super countryside views. It had everything we wanted and we shall definitely return."
    Michelle – 15 Oct 2018
"Watermill cottage is located on a farm next to a river with lovely views. There is a fence surrounding the property with a nice patio area for alfresco dining. We received a warm welcome from Heather who provided us with tea, coffee, sugar and milk and an added bonus of a bottle of wine and chocolates. The location was great being only a few miles from lots of great places to visit and walk including Chester, Delamere Forest and the Sandstone Trail. The cottage itself is finished to a high standard and has everything you could possibly need. We found it very warm and cosy and everywhere was spotlessly clean. My one criticism would be the double bed is in need of a new mattress but apart from that we had a wonderful week."
    Jayne – 2 Oct 2018
"Lovely holiday cottage , lovely people, great location . Matter of opinion but beds were hard , sofa was hard which after a long day was slightly disappointing. Other than that great"
    Rodger – 23 Sep 2018
"A warm welcome given by Heather. A bottle of milk in the fridge plus wine & chocolates to start our 4 night stay. Cottage was clean in all aspects, well equipped & in a lovely rural setting by a stream. Quiet location even though being sited on a working dairy farm. Short drive to both Chester & Liverpool. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would certainly not hesitate to book again if staying in the area"

"Clean and comfortable cottage with secure small garden. Welcoming host."
    Gillian – 30 Jul 2018
"We really enjoyed our short break at Watermill Cottage. It was very clean, well equipped and well set out with 2 en suites. We gave it a slightly lower mark for comfort only because the double bed was rather uncomfortable. We loved the view of the mill stream and cows from the lounge. It was also in a good position for travelling to Chester and Liverpool."
    Di – 11 Jul 2018
"Wonderful host, Heather. Made us feel at home & was flexible when we were late. Arrived very late after lots of road delays, so the was so disappointed that there wasn't a few basics such as tea, coffee, milk. Rather than providing Wine & Tin of biscuits spend money on these, plus ideally sugar, pack of butter, maybe bread. Some tin foil & cling film as part of kitchen basics would be usual?"
    Derek – 28 Apr 2018
"We would recommend this cottage to all, it is superbly appointed and cared for, on a working dairy farm where there is lots of animal life to observe. The owner greeted us warmly on arrival but did not interfere at all during our weeks stay, everything worked properly and all domestic appliances were in very good order, in fact looked almost new.We shall probably revisit in the near future."
    John – 14 Apr 2018
"Clean, nicely decorated and lovely location by a small stream in a farm. Bottle of wine and box of chocolates on arrival were a nice touch. Definitely recommend if you're heading to Cheshire."
    Vicki – 17 Mar 2018
"What a wonderful find this cottage is, warm welcome, ticked every box we wanted.Lovely location on a dairy farm away from the noise and crowds, quite remote but well worth it.The wildlife just outside of your window is brilliant. Our visit was in March during a cold & wet spell, we would love to revisit later in the year."
    Suzanne – 10 Mar 2018
"Comfortable cottage with lovely views. Made to feel very welcome."
    Anne – 7 Mar 2018
"Watermill Cottage, location was spot on for my husband and I, rural, peaceful, clean, comfortable and warm. It a was a good location to be able to access a number of activities around the area. The wildlife seen from the comfort of the sofa was a real surprise.I would suggest that better quality mattresses be used as both my husband and I did not sleep particularly well on the current ones which is actually really important."
