This Scandinavian-style timber lodge has rustic charm with an English oak frame and Cornish slate roof. In an idyllic setting above the banks of a gentle stretch of the River Inny and less than five miles from the coast near beautiful Boscastle, Bybrook Lodge boasts scenic views across the water and rolling countryside. Presented to an excellent standard, Bybrook Lodge is a detached residence situated in a select development of privately owned holiday homes near Camelford and makes a lovely homestay for families and friends. The site includes a picnic area with small pond and the onsite tennis courts are free for guest use. The ground floor has an open plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting area with a wood burner-style electric fire, plus a double bedroom and wet room. The first floor has another double bedroom and a twin, plus bathroom. The south-facing garden is a very special feature, equipped with a stone patio, lawn area and handcrafted slate barbecue, it enables leisurely time to be spent dining al fresco and soaking up the captivating vista. Well placed to explore the North Cornish coastline, the visitor hotspots at Padstow, Boscastle, Port Isaac, Tintagel, Bodmin Moor and the long tracts of sandy beach at Polzeath, Trebarwith Strand and Bude are less than a 30 minute drive. Bybrook Lodge makes a scenic base to explore and also to relax.
A perfect Cornish coastal village, the road through Boscastle runs down to the small harbour at the bottom of the hill. The quaint village shops, local restaurants and pubs offering good food, Cornish real ales and live entertainment by local musicians, make this an ever popular visitor destination. Spectacular cliff tops, rocky coves, wild surf, open fields and rich wildlife characterise this beautiful area. The coastal footpath passes through some of Britains most rugged and spectacular coastal scenery. The sandy beaches of Bossiney, Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven are all within 5 miles and the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath are within easy driving distance. Close at hand lie the delights of Tintagel, swathed in the legends of King Arthur, several stately homes and renowned gardens, or the wide open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Mauriers Jamaica Inn.
