Cooler breaks are made even cosier with the wood burner aside the comfy sofas, and there is additional storage space for guests’ belongings in the big cupboard, plus hanging space in the lobby. The kitchen is a mix of mod con appliances and rustic work surfaces, creating a country vibe, with dining table overlooking the garden and ocean. There are three bedrooms; a double, a bunk bed room on the ground floor and galleried twin bedroom with porthole window showcasing the sea from its first-floor spot. There is some height restriction under the eaves, making a perfect den for children and adults alike! The outdoors beckons with two garden areas, with generous lawn to the side for play and relaxation. Gather around the fire pit or get creative with the barbecue after exploring the coast path. Adjacent to the owners’ property, enjoy a walk through the wildflower meadow with its own amphitheatre and witness the most beautiful sunsets. Beach lovers will be spoilt for choice here with Fishing Cove, Dollar Cove and Church Cove, three leading Poldark locations a short walk away. The local golf course on the coast is also close by. The Helford River offers a variety of activities and is very popular with water-sport enthusiasts, sailors, birdwatchers and garden lovers. Visit the local and historic 500 years old Halzephron Inn, where a warm welcome is guaranteed, with award-winning restaurant serving local produce and Cornish ales. Gunwalloe village is situated on the west coast of the Lizard Peninsula with a small but charming beach and a popular pub, The Halzephron, with views right across Mounts Bay. Gunwalloe is near to Mullion which is a large village on the Lizard Peninsula. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs as well as Mullion Cove, a pretty working harbour. Helston is a busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the fascinating Helston Folk Museum.
