A romantic bolthole for couples, walkers and city escapees, Little Bojorrow sits amidst mellow Cornish countryside in the hamlet of Garras, close to the sandy beaches of the Lizard Peninsula and the beautiful creeks of the Helford. This former milking parlour is perfect for two plus a babe in arms and those seeking the chance to relax and feel cosseted. Set along a bird-filled lane, it is detached and peaceful with little noise and no neighbours (apart from the owners’ residence). Interiors are arranged on one level and extremely comfortable with underfloor heating throughout. The open plan living room is intimate with a comfortable sofa and arm chair beside an electric flame effect fire at one end and a compact kitchen at the other. The bedroom has a deep mattress, silky soft bed linens, bathrobes, slippers and a private outlook over farmland. A sleek walk-in wet room completes the accommodation. Outside is parking for one car and a private patio garden for alfresco meals. When you are ready to explore the surrounding area, you will discover the picturesque fishing village of Porthleven closeby which has a beach and foodie restaurants including Rick Stein and Kota which is recognised by The Good Food Guide and The Michelin Guide. Beach lovers will be drawn to sandy Church Cove at Gunwalloe and the National Trust owned Kynance Cove, also less than a 20 minute drive. You can leave the car and set off on scenic countryside rambles. Head out on a woodland walk through the nearby historic Trelowarren Estate (seasonal opening times) or along the secluded creeks of the Helford River. The village of Mawgan with its candy coloured thatched cottages; pub serving a mouth-watering menu and a convenience store is a little over a mile. Forage for Cornish produce at the local farm shop for barbecues in the patio garden with its far-reaching rural views.
Helford is a picturesque village on the south side of the Helford River. Helford is very popular with its thatched cottages, excellent village stores and especially The Shipwrights Arms, right on the edge of the creek with its waterside terrace. Just a short walk away is Frenchmans Creek, immortalised by Daphne du Maurier. The Helford River Sailing Club is very popular and a regatta is held every August. In the summer a passenger ferry runs to Helford passage, the home of the Ferryboat Inn, and nearby to the gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. The wildlife on the Helford River is diverse and a birdwatchers paradise.
