The property is beautifully furnished with an elegant but relaxed style. The sitting room makes the most of its dramatic, high vaulted ceiling and roof lights keep the room beautifully bright. All the internal joinery, including the magnificent staircase, is bespoke and made of sustainable European Oak. Exposed stone walls give testament to the building's age and character. High tech insulation, a log burner, an eco ground source heat pump and underfloor heating throughout keep the building wonderfully and sustainably cosy.

In regards to guest’s comfort, the owner has paid great attention to detail. A keen cook, he has ensured that the handmade kitchen is fully equipped and a delight to work in. Appliances are high spec and match the quality of the restoration. Mod cons include a Loewe Smart TV, Blu-Ray, iPod dock and the property also has Supe rFast Fibre Optic Broadband &/ Wi-Fi. High quality Hypnos beds are provided in the bedrooms.
There are plenty of homely and thoughtful touches that enhance your stay. Guests are greeted with a traditional cream tea, cake and welcome pack of essential provisions. Freshly cut flowers await you in the barn, along with a luxury vanity pack. Fluffy bathrobes are provided for guests and there are logs and kindling for the woodburner. You can even arrange in advance to be collected from the nearest airport/station.

The property is situated in a quiet hamlet – a cluster of stone built cottages in central Cornwall. Both the south and the north coast are just a short drive away. Mawgan Porth and Padstow in the north are just under 10 miles away, Carlyon Bay on the south coast 11 miles. The attractive coastal towns of Fowey & Mevagissey and the Georgian Port of Charlestown are within easy reach.
The Eden Project which boasts the ‘largest rainforest in captivity’ is a 20 minute drive whilst the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan are half an hour away. There are some fabulous National Trust properties in Cornwall – Lanhydrock 11miles, Trerice just under 13 miles and Trelissick 25 miles are the nearest.
Of course the stunning Cornish coast and its many rivers offer adrenaline seekers a great choice of activities: surfing, kayaking, canoeing, diving, coasteering. For something a little more sedate try one of the wildlife cruises or try a spot of fishing. Inland why not try the Adrenaline Quarry for a truly thrilling day out!
