About this property

Settled within the picture-perfect village of Goldsithney, a stone’s throw away from the dramatic coastline of Cornwall rests this charming, white-washed holiday home Cherrybrook Cottage. Boasting an interior full of traditional character whilst enjoying easy access to the delights of Cornwall, Cherrybrook Cottage makes an idyllic base for a staycation with loved ones. You'll feel right at home from the moment you step inside this lovely dwelling, with a snug sitting room traditionally decorated with exposed wooden beams and a warming woodburning stove, enticing you to kick off your shoes and unwind with a seat on the sumptuous corner suite. Move through the property to the open-plan kitchen/diner, fully-equipped with a wealth of amenities, including an electric oven, induction hob, and even a washing machine to freshen up your holiday attire. Uncork a bottle of wine and gather together with your loved ones at the dining table as the designated chef cooks up a storm or make the most of your peaceful surroundings with a spot of alfresco dining in the garden. Three bedrooms can be found on the first floor, consisting of one super king, one double and a single, ideal for sleepovers for the little ones, with a contemporary family bathroom set across the way, where a blissful soak can be enjoyed at the end of an action-packed day. Take advantage of your close proximity to the shore and pack your bucket and spade and head to the glorious sands of Perranuthnoe Beach, where you can soak in the tranquillity with a dip in the glistening waters of the sea, or soak up the sunshine as you lounge with a good book. Take a break from doing the cooking and head to one of the two pubs that sit within walking distance, with the choice between soaking in the summer sunshine in the beer garden at the Trevelyan Arms Bar & Restaurant or indulging in a spot of home-cooked fare around the open fire at the Crown Inn. Get better acquainted with your surroundings and travel to the nearby town of Marazion, where you can spend a lazy afternoon lounging amongst the golden sands of Mount's Bay or traversing the causeway at low tide to reach the iconic castle of St Michaels Mount. Whilst you're in the area, be sure to peruse the wealth of quirky and independent shops that line the high-street in search of a keepsake or add a touch of luxury to your stay with a spot of traditional Cornish afternoon tea. With spectacular beaches stretching for miles, you're in an outdoor adventurer's haven, with watersports opportunities including kayaking and canoeing available, whilst those that would prefer to stay on land can explore their scenic surroundings via the network of both coast and country walking, cycling and hiking trails, with the South West Coast Path stretching for miles. For more coastal adventures, jump in the car and journey to the town of Penzance, where you can take a step back in time with a tour of Penlee House Gallery & Museum, soak in the sunshine as you test your backstroke in the iconic open-air swimming pool, or savour fresh fish and chips with a stroll along the promenade. It's a short rail ride from St Erth into St Ives to explore its museums and galleries, including the world-renowned Tate St Ives, showcasing modern workings from both local and international artists, whilst its many excellent pubs and restaurants offer a memorable night on the town. Escape to the coast with a trip to Cherrybrook Cottage.

A quintessentially Cornish country village with attractive houses, shops and village pubs, Goldsithney is located back from the shore, away from the hustle and bustle of tourism, yet close to a host of attractions. Just a few minor items to report. The promised initial stock of logs and kindling was absent so we had to go out on that first night and get some rather than being able to get a lovely fire going right away. The double bed in the back bedroom has a quite poor and uncomfortable mattress. And finally the bedrooms on the road side of the cottage could do with blackout blinds or curtains due to the street lighting immediately outside...we had to hang towels there to keep the light out. Otherwise...all positive.

Very clean. Ideal location. Would happily stay here again and recommend to friends and family. Local pub The Crown is very dog friendly, lovely staff and delicious food. Nearest beach literally 4 mins drive away which is gorgeous and dog friendly with amazing views, great beach cafe with delicious food.

A clothes airer would be beneficial to both owner and guests and would save using the tumble dryer on warm days.
