This cosy detached cottage on the Roseland Peninsula is situated approximately 1/4 mile down a private lane in the tiny hamlet of Lower Mill, one of 3 properties in a secluded wooded valley, with 4 acres of private gardens. Ideal for families, friends and couples, Mill Cottage has a compact open plan living area with kitchen at one end and stone fireplace for open fires at the other, making it a great all-season bolthole. Although the property takes a maximum of 4 guests there are three bedrooms: a double with a king size bed, a twin room, and a room with two bunk beds suitable for children.The family bathroom is on the ground floor. At the front is a very sheltered and sunny enclosed patio. Immediately adjacent to the cottage is an area of lawn bordered with a stream, continuing down the valley through the rhododendron garden to a wildlife area with open ponds and streams (formerly part of the water Mill collecting the water from springs on the valley side). There are also two acres of woodland which rise up the side of the valley. The entrance is fenced and gated, children and dogs should be supervised within the grounds. Just a 10 minute, streamside traffic free walk or a couple of minutes by car will bring you to the sandy National Trust beach of Pendower, which is also dog friendly all year round. Mill Cottage is just one mile from the centre of the pretty village of Veryan, which has a Post Office/store and a 16th Century pub which serves good food and quality ales. Why not go for afternoon tea at the Nare Hotel which is just a peaceful 10 minute walk or lunch at Melinsey Mill less than 5 minutes away by car. The gardens at Heligan are just a 10 minute car journey and well worth a visit. For a tranquil getaway, Mill Cottage will not disappoint.

Veryan is a historic and picturesque village on the Roseland Peninsula; a popular spot for holidaymakers! Veryan is located close to a number of high quality beaches, including the beaches of East & West Portholland Beaches, Carne Beach, Pendower Beach and of course St Mawes. It is a great location for a holiday in Cornwall, with easy access to Falmouth (via the Ferry), Mevagissey and Truro.
