This wonderful, detached holiday home is central to the village of St. Dennis, set in front of the owner's home just a twenty minute drive from The Eden Project. Less than half an hour from both the north and south coastlines and only fifteen minutes from Newquay Airport, it is an excellent base for friends and families looking to explore this beautiful county. A large, open plan living area and separate conservatory make up the social ground floor. The sitting area is a great place for everyone to sit back and relax by the woodburning stove after a long walk or day on the beach. Through a double arched doorway is a modern kitchen with lots of counter-top space and a dining table, which is the perfect spot for planning the day's outings over breakfast. The conservatory catches the afternoon sun perfectly, making it a fantastic place to sit with a drink when the sun is out or to catch up on your book with some peace and quiet. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a shower room, including two large double bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and a third, cosier room with bunk beds. Outside, to the back of this brilliant holiday home is a decked garden where you can dine alfresco in the summer and enjoy glimpses of the area's renowned China Stone Quarry. Set amongst the Cornish Alps, St. Dennis is one of Cornwall's oldest mining villages and many of the local villagers are still employed by the China Clay quarries. There are two pubs in the village, where you can enjoy a good pint and some tasty food, as well as several shops and a convenience store. Because the village is so central to Cornwall, it is a fantastic base for getting out and about without worrying about too much driving. St Columb Major is ten minutes away, with an array of restaurants and shops, whilst Newquay is just ten minutes further with a wonderful selection of beaches, shops and bars, and a great place to try surfing! On the south coast is Charlestown, with a charming little harbour and handful of friendly pubs, as well as the bustling fishing town of Mevagissey. There are walks to be enjoyed on Bodmin Moor and make sure you visit The Eden Project. With so much to do within an hour's drive of this wonderful holiday home, it is a truly perfect destination for your Cornish break.

To the north west of St Austell Bay lies the quiet village of St Dennis, nestling amongst the “Cornish Alps”, named after the conical piles which dominate the landscape. This was once a busy china clay mining area, but is now renowned for The Eden Project, itself built in an exhausted china clay quarry. St Dennis village has a good selection of shops including a chemist and a butcher, and is a perfect base for exploring Cornwall, being mid-way between the north and south coasts, and also with easy access to main roads.
