Two cottages sleep 4 (8)
The cottages overlook an area of outstanding natural beauty (Rosewall Hill) and they are part of the first planned village in England, having been built circa 1813 By Sir James Halse to house his tin-miners. No redevelopment is allowed on the land, which means that the cottages will never be overlooked. The cottages are in a very peaceful and secluded area, yet are just one and a half miles from St Ives, with its glorious golden sandy beaches.
There is ample room for parking and a large garden area (1100 square meters) with picnic tables and barbecue for "alfresco" dining. The view from the windows is of beautiful countryside, with sea on the horizon if you look to the west. The cottages are ideally suited for touring with many places of interest including the Tate Gallery, the Eden project, Minack open-air theatre, seal sanctuary, china-clay museum, tin mines, etc. Also there are many activities, such as wind-surfing at St Michael mount, golf (West Cornwall golf course), horse-riding, both in the village and the Old mill stables, walking, bird-watching etc.
The cottages are very cosy and the rooms are made ready for your arrival. We also have electric fires and electric blankets on all of the beds (in case of a cold spell) The kitchens have double oven, fridge-freezer and microwave. Tea/coffee and a carton of milk is left ready for your use, so that you can make yourselves a drink after your journey. They each have flat-screen T.V. with free view and D.V.D. player.
There is a village inn just 4 minutes walk away and a bus stops outside the inn during the day approximately every hour (except on Sundays) during the high season. You can also reach St. Ives via '5 field walk' (takes about 20 to 25 minutes). As you will gather, the cottages are in a nature-lovers paradise, with a profusion of wild flowers in the spring and summer - a truly heavenly spot!
