With stylish coastal interior and a Caribbean-like beach practically on the door step, Porthcurno Bay View has it all! Part of the historic former Porthcurno Hotel, it is perfect for a romantic break, a laid-back jaunt with friends or for a traditional seaside family holiday. The whole place oozes comfort, luxury and style. A fabulous sociable dining room also affords fantastic coastal views; a sitting room, again with views, furnished with big comfy sofas beside a gas fired faux contemporary style wood burner and an enviably equipped spacious kitchen fitted with a Smeg fridge and a Range are also on this level. Upstairs a master bedroom with a luxurious en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a third bedroom which can be presented as a double or a twin. This beachside bolthole is located in Porthcurno, described by many as a paradise. The picturesque village nestles in the fold of a valley on Cornwall's south coast just west of Penzance, and boasts sapphire skies, azure seas, powder white sand and an unhurried vibe. In warm weather set off with a picnic or a book to a quiet corner of the gardens or relax with a barbecue in the enclosed rear courtyard. Walkers will feel the lure of the scenic coastal footpath, or visit The Minack, the outdoor theatre carved into the granite cliff face with stage set against the glorious panoramic backdrop of sea and sky. Famed as one of Cornwall's premiere holiday destinations and an officially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this holiday haven delivers recreation and relaxation in spades!

The small village of Porthcurno is situated four miles from Land’s End on the south coast of West Cornwall. The village has a sandy beach, a café, a restaurant that’s open during the summer season and cliff-top and coastal walks. To the west of Porthcurno is the famous Minack Theatre, which is a superb open air venue with 750 seats and boasts views across Porthcurno Bay to The Lizard.

A huge apartment over two floors of the Old Hotel. Beautifully furnished with lovely attention to detail and felt like a loved home. It had everything you needed and more. An exceptionally well equipped kitchen, lots of living space. We loved the conservatory and the balcony which was my favourite area to sit in with beautiful views. A very comfortable lounge with a TV with sky, a wii console games and dvd's provided. A lovely stocked book cabinet. Beautiful clean, bright bedrooms with comfy beds, quality bedding and fluffy towels. The master bedroom suite was exceptional with idyllic views and a fabulous freestanding bath. Fans provided if it was hot, hairdryers, iron and ironing board, hoover. Everything you want a home to have. It's the little details, the little touches like their manuals on everything, their local walking books, make this property stand out. It definitely felt like a place with a heart that was loved. Our only negative was we needed a kitchen cupboard to put our food as they were all full with equipment and that on our second week we had noisy kids in the apartment above that jumped and ran around all the time so we couldhear all footsteps. However we had the most wonderful time and would highly recommend this accommodation and would most definitely return.

For example, they provide fans for the heat, hairdryers, a box of board games and a box of traditional games, a whole bookshelf of books, DVDs and Wii games (and the Wii), there is a bar! The kitchen is fully stocked with beautiful plates, cups, cutlery etc and even has herbs, spices, oils etc, on arrival the owners thoughfully left us milk in the fridge, a bottle of prosecco, biscuits, teabags and sugar. Now to the house: I loved sitting in the balcony with the sun on my face looking at the sea, I loved sitting in the conservatory to have my breakfast, the lounge was comfortable and included Sky TV, the downstairs bathroom has a jacuzzi bath (my kids loved that), the beds were comfy, and there were so many beautiful touches around the house, the vases, the flowers, the tissue boxes, the cushions. I highly recommend this lovely apartment/house. I am writing such a full review because when I booked there were only a few reviews and they were very short. I hope this is helpful. In terms of the area Porthcurno is very pretty, so much foliage (reminds me of Spain, so tropical). But be aware it is in the middle of nowhere, there are no shops (nearest is St Buryan - 10 mins drive away). There is a delightful cafe though in walking distance, and the owners there are so welcoming, they knew my name from day 1 and were so lovely to us. Highly recommend their cornish scones (homemade) and cornish pasties. The Beach is a 10 minute walk away (from door to sand) if you are slow and not so fit like me, about 7 mins if you are fitter. Porthcurno is one of the best beaches in Cornwall, we felt lucky to be in walking distance from this beautiful beach, the secret beach which you can reach when the tide is at its lowest, and the Minack Theatre. Beware of tiny roads around this area, it is not easy to drive around if you come from a town/city like we did. For the owners just a couple of tiny things would have made this stay even better (though it was near perfect): butter on arrival (there are no shops), more toilet paper (we ran out, and again no shops), darker blinds (that's just me, I am sensitive to light), lighter quilts as it was hot, plastic plates for the kids (your plates are too nice for them!) and maybe update your listing to include all your wonderful additions (like fans, board games, books etc), because I brought a lot of things I really didn't need and could have saved time and space in the car. Thank you we had a wonderful family holiday.

Everything you could wish for. Amazing views from the main bedroom and conservatory and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend your house.
