    Mrs Edwards, May 2019 – 1 May 2019
" We made very good use of the swimming pool and tennis court too. Lovely Cottage in beautiful countryside with lots of walks. Will definitely visit again. "
    Mr Pollard – 1 Feb 2019
"It is a "holiday village" with holiday homes, many owned by wealthy people with "Chelsea tractors" everywhere! The heated pool (even in Feb!) and tennis courts are great. Sadly in an area full of rivers and lakes the boat hire is a bit expensive; if we wanted 24 hours with a kayak it would have been £50 per kayak and no option for a shorter hire."
    Mark B – 1 Dec 2018
"This was the 4th time I have stayed at this cottage. It has everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. It’s very clean and the mattresses are comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed and the “welcome” pack of milk etc is a great touch. Near to Cirencester which is a great town to visit as well as great country walks. My wife and I and our friends are looking forward to our next visit."

"Log burner with ample logs sticks lighters and fire logs (not that we used them). The washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, toilet rolls, hand wash was a bonus we were not expecting. The site was well appointed my wife and mother in law went for a swim in the outside pool every morning before breakfast, having said this they had to wind the pool cover every morning, my wife managed it but she is registered RSI and felt her arms, she enjoyed the swimming in the heated pool. We have two dogs and they enjoyed being walked and as it was quiet at 6.30am we let them off along the lake walk in which our one year old cocked also enjoyed his early morning swim. Dog run in the fields from a PROW, a short walk from the cottage over the main road towards the village past Thames cottage, when you get to the T junction turn right, on the left for a few yards, there is a PROW go along this two pedestrian gates leads to the field for your dog run. On reverse from the field through the two gates arrive back to the village road, you might depending on the time of the day feel in need of liquid refreshment and a meal, if so turn left 500m and you will arrive on the L/H/S the village pub which I highly approved on the ales and food dogs are welcome as well."

"Very clean, comfy & well equipped holiday cottage on pretty complex. Tea & coffee, salt & pepper, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, hand soaps, mini shower gels and a couple of toilet rolls in each of the 3 toilets provided. Also cling, foil, kitchen towel & wash up liquid left by previous guests I think! No oven gloves though. PS2 & games for the kids was a nice surprise, also books, dvds & kids toys / games. Soft beds, very clean. Small fans in 2 bedrooms. Small niggle - master duvet cover was far too big for the duvet & single bunk duvet cover was too small for its duvet! Nice garden area inc BBQ, seating & outdoor toys. A banked stream runs alongside the cottage which is unfenced so caution required for small children. Good onsite pool, sauna, park, trampette, football goals & tennis courts, Miss Mouse nature trail (inc prizes), footpaths & cycle routes, picnic areas - all free!!! bike / boat hire, cafe & mini shop too but a little bit pricey (as expected on a complex really). 10 minute drive to local amenities in Cirencester & pretty town centre. Industrial estate has retail outlet inc KFC & Dominoes, there is also a great farm shop and ice cream factory. Past these you will find McDonalds, Beefeater, Aldi & Tesco’s (although we had our shopping delivered to the cottage, no problem). 5 minutes from “beach” which was very good value as 3 of our group booked the AquaVenture so whole family got access to the beach for the whole day (worth taking a picnic, but cafes / Icecreams also onsite). Friendly, helpful owners who were polite & informative both in their communications via emails and info pack provided on arrival. Our family have truly enjoyed our holiday at Badgers Lodge and we are more than happy to recommend!"

"Every was great, usual Cotswolds' WiFi trouble but as we were "getting away from it all" that wasn't really a problem. All in all a very relaxing week."

"You cannot use all the facilities on the estate as they owner has not paid for access to them. This should be made clear at the time of booking to avoid embarrassment later."
