The kitchen diner also has underfloor heating plus a fabulous Aga-style range cooker. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine in the utility room. There's also a downstairs cloakroom with WC and hand basin. Upstairs are three lovely, light bedrooms - a master with a king size bed, another double and a twin room - plus a very spacious family bathroom with shower cubicle, bath, hand basin and WC. The garden at the Hayloft is a particular delight, with a flagged stone patio and steps up to a lawn with mature flower-filled borders. There's ample off street parking for two cars. Eaglesfield is a lovely peaceful village set in rural surroundings not far from the lesser known West Lakes like Buttermere, Crummock and Ennerdale, winner of View of the Year. It's a wonderful part of Lakeland, being off the main tourist track, yet with so many places to explore. Nearby Cockermouth with its castle, art galleries, shops and restaurants is a great starting point for a trip around Wordsworth Country. The Hayloft Cottage is close to the gorgeous Cumbrian coast for a day on the beach, and an easy and scenic drive to lively Keswick. Take a day trip to Lake Windermere for a trip on one of the famous Windermere steamers, or head for bustling Penrith with its shops, bars, cinema and swimming pool. With attractions like Go Ape, the Aquarium of the Lakes and the Kong indoor climbing centre, there's plenty to keep the kids happy, while the walking and cycling opportunities around the West Lakes will suit outdoor adventurers. The small country market town of Cockermouth is situated in the quiet north-western part of the Lake District, a largely undiscovered and unspoilt area, yet only 13 miles from Keswick. The town is famous as the birthplace of both William Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and Wordsworths Georgian family home, on the main street, is now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust.
