We had a lovely stay at Glen Bank, the house is beautiful and full of character and its in a lovely quiet village a short drive to Appleby which is a good size market town. We spent many hours in the Orangery dining room and garden. The garden is lovely on a couple of levels with plenty of sitting areas and a great BBQ area (though the garden needs some tlc as whilst it is low maintenance it feels like there is no regular gardner to keep it as its best which is a shame as it would be absolutely stunning). There are few better places than Cumbria in glorious weather and if you want an escape away from it all to kick back and relax Glen Bank is ideal - thank you for sharing your wonderful house with us!

I slipped on the decking due to leaves and moss on the decking which could have resulted in an injury. However the cottage was very good.
