Wash Green is a lovely country town house full of character and charm with old panelled doors, curving stairs and traditional fireplaces. The comfortable lounge with its log burning stove is just fantastic. The dining room with its glazed roof is really classy. The modern kitchen and bathrooms mirror the same high quality. Add the garden and suntrap courtyard to make this a very special place. 

Wirksworth is a lovely little historic town, set in a cauldron of hills, with a wide range of interesting shops, a fascinating heritage centre and trail and a growing reputation for arts and craft activities. Wander along into town for breakfast . Try Costas' famous fish and chips for lunch. An evening meal in Le Mistral restaurant is not to be missed. Follow the lead miners of old to the numerous local pubs.

Local treats include rides along the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, boating or cycling around Carsington Reservoir, a visit to the National Stone Centre or perhaps a trip to Crich's Tramway museum. With even wider horizons it's got to be the Peak District's attractions from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall to Matlock Bath's cable cars and the Derwent Valley dams.

A really classy lounge with comfortable suite, glowing log burning stove, flat screen T.V., DVD, CD player and WiFi.  A superb glass roofed dining room with oak table and chairs and French doors to the courtyard. A modern kitchen with quality units, granite work surfaces, cooker, microwave, large fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and automatic washer. An attractive double bedroom with traditional fireplace. A single bedroom of the same high quality. An attractive bathroom with bath, separate shower and W.C. On the second floor a second double bedroom and a twin bedroom. A shower room with shower and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, power and an initial supply of fuel for the stove are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a garden with furniture and separate little suntrap courtyard with furniture. Parking for two medium size cars is available together with other spaces along the village street. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult. Bookings are from Friday to Friday.

Short breaks are available November to March excluding Xmas and New Year (and during the rest of the year if the booking is within 14 days of the holiday).
