The Foxes Larder sleeping up to 6 guests

This beautiful, spacious barn conversion is set in 50-acre grounds on a quiet sheep farm, with uninterrupted, countryside views from the grounds.
Set in 50 acres of grounds, this detached barn conversion is set on a quiet sheep farm, with lots of wildlife. Walking around the grounds, there are uninterrupted views of the outstanding countryside and wildlife at every turn, it is a perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. The property has been decorated and furnished to a good standard and is situated within the Exmoor National Park. Set in the owner’s grounds, it has a private garden area with fantastic views. Sometimes you are able to see red deer, foxes, badgers and an abundance of resident and migrant birds are often seen. This tranquil setting is an ideal base to explore the delights of this beautiful part of Devon. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead, as this is a working sheep farm. Children are more than welcome to see the lambs at lambing time and take a tour of the farm. It is only a short drive from the towns of Dulverton and Tiverton. Bampton is just 5 miles and offers the ’Bampton Town Trail’ which is a walk that takes you around the town, and introduces you to historic sites and buildings. Lynton & Lynmouth are two adjacent villages with Lynton being a Victorian resort, 600ft above Lynmouth and being linked by a water powered cliff railway. Lynmouth lies at an estuary where the East and West Lyn meet. This is known as "England’s Little Switzerland" offering spectacular coastal and inland walks, being the Valley of the Rocks and the steeply wooded Glen Lyn Gorge, where you are constantly reminded of both the beauty and forces of nature. Whether you are looking for an invigorating walk, horse ride or cycle across the high moors and through wooded valleys, using the excellent path network, or if the gentler comforts of a local cream tea in one of Exmoor’s beautiful villages is more your thing - Exmoor National Park has something for everyone. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

"Friendly and helpful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Cream tea on arrival was delightful touch.Accommodation was perfect for our needs, i.e. wheelchair access. Lovely quiet location on working sheep farm.Local amenities a little lacking but not a problem as road access to larger towns good.Overall a great holiday experience.Definitely recommend."

"Absolutely loved our holiday at the Foxes Larder."
    Cynthia – 7 Jul 2018
"Amazing & beautiful cottage that has been converted well & disabled friendly. It was extremely well equipped & very clean with enough room for our family. We knew when booking the cottage was off the beaten track, the views did not disappoint. Loved having the sheep near by the night before they were sheared. Lovely cream tea to arrive to after a long journey. Hosts were welcoming, friendly and left us to enjoy our holiday. We visited a variety of different places both south & north Devon. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay at The Foxes Larder."
    Elliot – 9 Jun 2018
"Had a fantastic time, the owners were very friendly and helpful. We reported a concern about a smoke alarm and it was checked and fixed by an engineer that day. Beautiful area and lots to do in the area for children."

"I can’t think of a nicer place to get snowed in for 3 days!! Luckily we had enough food and drink with us! The Foxes Larder is a delightful place, beautifully clean and well equipped. Amanda and Clive were lovely helpful hosts. We were able to walk our dog Judy over their fields and the local lanes, and their puppy Purdey used to come and call at the door for Judy! A lovely relaxing stay, despite the snow."
    Barni – 20 Feb 2018
"Absolutely loved our stay at The Foxes Larder. We would love to go back again!"
    Judith – 4 Jan 2018
"A perfect, cosy Christmas retreat, surrounded by the beautiful, snowy Devon hills. We were welcomed by a sparkling Christmas tree and a festive cream tea, complete with Prosecco! The cottage is a clever barn conversion, thoughtfully adapted to accommodate a wheelchair and giving plenty of space for all the family to enjoy."
