With high quality furnishings and everything you could need The Smithy is a luxurious home from home.

The Park Mill Farm cottages are situated in a magical riverside setting, less than a mile from Chulmleigh centre, with 20 acres of lush fields, woods and parkland where you are free to roam along with the abundant wildlife. From the viewing area on top of the hill with bench, to the river and lakeside areas, there is plenty to explore.

Chulmleigh is a Saxon hilltop village made up of thatched cottages, traditional pubs and a small collection of independent shops. There is a kids’ play park and dining options consist of three pubs in the town, a cosmopolitan restaurant and an Indian restaurant/takeaway.

Chulmleigh town centre is now a conservation area and the rich grassland found here is home to the largest population of otters in any natural area in England. The area provides access to an abundance of leisure activities including walking, cycling, fishing, golf and horse riding along with a number of historic houses and gardens in the vicinity.

Guests can enjoy the best of coast and country with Dartmoor and Exmoor nearby, as well as the North Devon coast in one direction and the cathedral city of Exeter in the other, all within an hour’s drive.

Just a short drive away from Park Mill Farm Cottages, you can experience the range of luxurious facilities on offer at Highbullen Golf and Country Club including tennis courts, a pool, fitness suite, and a range of spa treatments if you fancy being pampered.

...was not good. Lots of cobwebs and dust. When we were there there was no heating in the master bedroom and we had to ask the owners for a fan heater. However we couldn't catch them in and had to spend three very cold nights in the property. The bathrooms were very small and the shower room has no curtain or shower door so drenched the entire room after a shower which wasn't ideal. The area is rural and pretty. Probably much nicer in the Summer than late Autumn. We had two children with us but I din't feel the property was particularly child friendly. Also the lighting in the living room needs more ambient lighting/lamps. The spotlights are very harsh which spoils the effect of the wood stove fire in the evening. Submitted by Mrs T on 07/12/2016

...cottage in Chulmleigh, Devon, main reason we chose this place was for relaxation, and this definitely ticked all boxes for us, The cottage itself had everything that you could think of and tastefully done , and on those odd chilly nights we would light the Log Burning Stove, which made it so cosy, Cream cakes on arrival gave a lovely start. My partner likes to do Fly Fishing and he done that just on the river outside the cottage, he caught some Trout Fish and loved spending the time there just relaxing, there is a lake if you wish to do course fishing there, and the grounds are lovely , the owners were very friendly also,so thank you and we will certainly be back. Thankyou and see yous again Nisha and Bryan Submitted by Bryan on 10/09/2015
