This comfortable, 300 year old, end terraced cottage lies conveniently close to activities for all ages.
Situated in a quiet residential area, close to the beach, this 300-year-old, end of terrace cottage is attached to the owner’s home. The town’s communal gardens are 50 yards away, and all local shops, cafes, restaurants and parks with level walking are close by. S43533 has level access to the town, bus routes and train station. The property has been decorated and furnished to a good standard, and all bedrooms have TVs. Nearby is Dawlish Beach, Brunel’s famous sea-front railway viaduct, the Black Swans of Dawlish and The Lawn with gardens where you can relax on those sunny days. Dawlish was much loved, by amongst others, Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie and the poet John Keats. Just a short stroll away there are shops, tea rooms, coffee shops, the famous Gay’s Creamery and several pubs. Golf, cycling, walking and bird watching can also be enjoyed close by. It is very central for exploring the area by car, train or bus including Exeter, Powderham, Starcross, Cockwood, Dawlish Warren, Teignmouth, Shaldon, Newton Abbot, The Teign Valley and Dartmoor. There are ongoing activities and events throughout the summer season including Dawlish Arts Week, fetes, funfair, folk music festival, carnival parade, fireworks, family activities and air show. Beach 700 yards. Shop 50 yards, pubs, restaurants and theatre 100 yards.

"The only reason I wouldn't stay again is because of the parking. It said parking for two cars but they need to be small ones. The cottage was lovely and very clean with everything that you needed. The parking wouldn't put off some people but being a bit older it worried me. The owner did very kindly park it for me but we felt that we couldn't use the cars because of the bother of getting them parked again. The train service was excellent so we got about very easily. Overall an excellent holiday."

"We had the best time ever at S43533, the owners live not far away and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Everything was there that we needed so all we had to take were clothes and a beach towel. Would definitely recommend staying here. Dawlish is mainly flat and there are some lovely walks by the river and via the sea."

"Excellent place to stay. Owners lovely and very helpful if required. Would certainly go again. Train and bus links very good for Exeter, Exmouth, Teignmouth and Torbay. Group travel on train very cheap so didn't need to use cars at all. Good off road parking but a tight fit for a Skoda Octavia and a Honda Jazz. Two small cars would be much easier."
