"We had a lovely week at S19728. Very spacious bungalow, perfect for the 3 dogs. Location was stunning and very peaceful. The only downside was the dishwasher not working properly- ok for us as only 2 of us but for a big party of people would be a bit of a pain! The tv didn't always work properly either but other than that it was very enjoyable. David & Jane were very nice and very helpful . Would definitely return !"
Isobe – 16 Nov 2018
"We had a fabulous relaxing week in the most peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The cottage was warm and comfortable and really dog friendly. The walk in the paddock up the hill is worth it for the stunning views. Highly recommended!"
Confirmed guest – 19 Oct 2018
"Brilliant place to stay as plenty of room, lovely garden and walks, hot water in abundance and excellent facilities."
dave – 8 Oct 2018
"We (3 couples) arrived for our long weekend on the 5 October 18. The location near Lyme and Charmouth, and away from the main roads was perfect for the 3 dogs so we could relax during our stay. The Saturday was wet so the games barn was a great added benefit which we used to the full. With one en suite bathroom plus the main bathroom for 3 couples was fine but we may have struggled if we were the 4 couples as intended. The only negative we had was a difficulty to set the temperature for the shower in the main bathroom. Our thanks to the owners for their warm welcome, and the eggs and milk which was a nice touch."
John – 21 Sep 2018
"Spacious cottage but it is tired and needs new beds, sofas and kettle. Also needs a good clean as evidence of cobwebs even under the wash basin in the main bedroom - no door to ensuite, shower and washbasin in bedroom small cupboard housing toilet. Away from it all, had to drive everywhere down very narrow lane only a car width. Friendly owners we only saw on first day as they went on holiday. Outside furniture needs updating."
Niamh – 17 Aug 2018
"Really lovely cottage, great owners, would recommend highly to friends.."
Sandra – 10 Aug 2018
"The bungalow is excellent for those holidaying with dogs - it is secure and there is plenty of space for them to run around. Dave and Jane were very welcoming."
Lucy – 27 Jul 2018
"A lovely peaceful setting, not far from the beach. Very dog and family friendly. We had hours of fun in the games room. The cottage is Very well equipped our only slight complaints would be that the dish washer did not work well and the TV was quite small, it did have sky though!"
Martin – 20 Jul 2018
"A good venue for large groups. We were 5 adults and 3 children. Plenty of space although with 8 people sitting round the table there was little room to move in the kitchen. We had small niggles with the washing machine and dishwasher and one of the toilets was difficult to flush. This was at the beginning of the holiday and nothing to do with our use of it. However the owners were very friendly and the children loved letting the chickens out and collecting the eggs. There was a superb games barn with a skittles alley which everyone loved and a nice child friendly garden. We were in easy reach of several beaches, some better than others for children and energetic walks! Not far to the nearest supermarket or pubs. All in all we had a very good holiday, young and old alike!"
Lynda – 22 Jun 2018
"Amazing place fantastic setting owners very hospitable lovely people all made very welcome and the dogs would recommend for all ages young and old fabulous holiday crab fishing with nets is a must off Lyme Regis harbour great fun"

Carol – 18 May 2018
"The hosts are very friendly and very nice. The cottage is very tired and needs some TLC.The dishwasher didn’t work properly. All it needed was a good clean. The setting is wonderful, I am sorry to say that because it could be really good especially for a family with children."
Severine – 13 Apr 2018
"Perfect cottage for large family . Plenty space for 6 adults, , child and 2 dogs. David and Jane ( farm owners)are very friendly and welcoming. Everyone loved the running around and our grand daughter loved the farm animals and especially collecting fresh eggs in the morning . Walking distance from 2 locals pubs and less 2 miles from the beach. We had great time too in the game room that is next to the cottage 😀 definitely go back"
Leanne – 2 Jan 2018
"Brilliant cottage, plenty of space, lovely and warm, beautiful views a short drive or walk from a few pubs. Owners are very welcoming and will do anything to help."

"We all had a great stay at S19728"
MERIEL – 13 Oct 2017
"S19728 is very well located for exploring the Dorset coast and surrounding areas. The cottage itself was well equipped but for the showers - both very poor and should be addressed - if this were the case then the score would reflect accordinglyIdeal for pets and walking from site is goodOwners - very nice couple - next door explained how things worked which was good and were on hand in case of queryMattresses could do with replacing - not a good nights sleep - again, score would be higher if this was the caseSky TV was a bonus, but WiFi dropped out regularlyFriday to Friday is an issue for us so we lost one day of our break"
MILES – 15 Sep 2017
"Had a lovely week. Perfect location for walking with or without dogs. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Large lounge is very cosy and homely. Quiet and peaceful location. Would definitely return in the future."
Liz – 8 Sep 2017
"We had a lovely break at Venn Cottage and Jane and David made us feel very welcome. The cottage is spacious and accommodated a mixed family group (and a dog) with ease. Although it was early September the evenings were a little chilly and so the wood burning stove came in very handy! The cottage is within close proximity to some of the most stunning scenery not just in Dorset but in the world. Golden Cap is magnificent - particularly on a sunny day"
Gary – 25 Aug 2017
"A nice cottage with a great feel. Really well stocked with everyday items (e.g. bin bags, tea bags, toilet roll) and plenty of room. Located on a farm so off the beaten track but surrounded by great walks and only a short drive from the village. A good location to access all the attractions in this part of Dorset."
Jane – 7 Jul 2017
"Lovely location but the cottage wasn't clean and the bedding did not feel very fresh. Dishwasher did not work and the owner was away so had to wash up all week."
tina – 30 Jun 2017

Alice – 7 Apr 2017
"We had a superb holiday at S19728. The location is perfect with amazing views all around the cottage, including very sweet lambs just next to the garden! The cottage is the perfect size for 8 with everything you need. Excellent local walks and only a short drive to the beach. Jane was a fantastic host, very welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend, thank you Jane!"
John – 31 Mar 2017
"A thoroughly enjoyable few days in a comfy cottage close to Dorset's beautiful Jurassic coast. Lots of good (at times challenging) walks nearby.Just a smidgen disappointed with the shower over the bath as the water pressure was too low for a satisfactory shower and the kitchen could do with a few more basic condiments for short breaks.Owners were very friendly and helpful, but totally unobtrusive."
Sarah – 20 Mar 2017
"Cottage in lovely peaceful location. Owners live next door, very helpful and welcoming. Large cottage with lots of room and comfy seating"
Katrina – 6 Mar 2017

"Lovely rural location, perfect for young children and safe for dogs, very peaceful and spacious cottage, showers not too good and cleanliness on arrival could have been better."
"This cottage suited all our requirements. Lovely size and very spacious. Would stay here again."
"We had such a lovely time, The owners live next door and are so welcoming and friendly, we felt at ease straight away. They leave you to yourself, but are more than happy to help or have a chat whenever. When we arrived they had supplied tea, milk and biscuits. We also brought meat from them, which they farm themselves, I would highly recommend doing this, it was out of this world. The cottage had everything you need. Just great."

"Great holiday. Shame nothing too close to walk too for the girls but they loved all the farm animals. Great for the dogs. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a fabulous holiday"
"We had another very successful and enjoyable family reunion at Venn Cottage. It is in a lovely remote spot yet within easy reach of more populated places. The Location next to the farm, with sheep wandering in the adjacent paddock enhanced the rural atmosphere and pleased the kids. The location also means that there is plenty of interesting bird life, particularly swallows and house martins."
"Amazing week at S19728. House is situated on a small working farm. We were there just before Easter and in lambing season. David allowed the kids to help catching lambs and even watch one sheep giving birth. House itself felt very homely, well equipped, clean and v comfortable. Garden was enclosed for the dogs. Owners are a lovely couple who were very helpful. Highly recommend."
"Lovely relaxing holiday, home from home, which made all the difference when there are two toddlers and 3 dogs in the party. We had a wonderful Christmas at S19728."
"We had a great holiday. The cottage was clean and had all the facilities we needed. The cottage had decent internet which is usually a problem we find when looking for cottages. The setting was nice in the owners farm, and we got to meet the owners dogs and horses!"
"Very homely perfect for children and dogs. Lovely setting for walks and within easy reach of local attractions and shops."
"It's a brilliant location. The cottage and rooms are of a good size and most of the equipment of a high standard.David and Jane were friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome.Beds were very comfortableHowever there are a few issues with the premises;1. The shower in the main bathroom was awful. It really detracted from the whole experience.2. The en-suite shower and toilet made that bedroom smell of damp and again the shower (although better) was not great3. The games room was a bit of a disappointment4. The garden could do with a couple of sun-loungers / deck chairsOverall, a lovely place to stay, but I think taking into account all the above, I think it is a bit pricey."
"This place was delightful, loved the furniture, and it was very well equipped, with plenty of space for a large family and dog. We felt at home there immediately. The cottage is well situated for walkers and country-lovers, although the narrow lanes can be a problem for some vehicles. However the surroundings are so tranquil and peaceful that it is well worth the drive. We drove out most days because of the close proximity to delightful Dorset tourist attractions, but we would have been quite happy to spend days at the cottage, had we been there for more than a week. The proprietors gave us a warm and friendly welcome, and we were delighted that our 3 year old granddaughter was able to feed their orphan lamb morning and evening. We would love to visit again."
"A very enjoyable holiday in an excellent location. As we had two young children with us the site as part of a farm was very good. the one disappointment was the games room, which was not very well sited."
"Excellant location & friendly owners. Well equiped & plenty of space."
"A great holiday with lovely hosts."
"Great venue for family get together. Space for everyone. Friendly and helpful owner. Highly recommend it."
"We had a lovely , relaxing week in a superb location. The owners are very friendly and made us feel welcome. There were a few snags that needed rectifying, lights not working, dishwasher not getting pots clean etc but I am sure that they will be put right before the season opens properly."
"We loved this cottage. We especially loved the wood burner, the owners were very friendly and the area was gorgeous. The sea out of season is wonderful. "
"A lovely friendly cottage although we were a little disappointed that the games room is in a barn close to the property and not attached to the cottage its self, probably not a problem in the summer but not so good in the middle of winter."
"Extremely warm and welcoming. loved the location, quietness and waking up to see the sheep and the hills from your bedroom window. Great locations for family reunions, for children to explore and for dogs to enjoy. Useful enclosed garden to keep children and dogs safe from wondering off. "
"What a great place to stay! Very relaxing, you leave your worries at the door and just chill out watching the view. We have three dogs - the garden was secure and the floor in the kitchen and hall was practical. The Monarch's Way runs right through the farm, so easy walking when it's dry. Jane and David Warren were very friendly. The home produce is a must - we came away with a lamb joint for our Christmas dinner, pork, bacon, sausages and ham!Take the time to visit Seatown and the Anchor pub - great views and great pub. Also go to Hive Beach at Burton Bradstock with the best on-beach restaurant in the world! We'll definitely be back :-)"
"Yet another brilliant holiday, managed to dodge the rain, enjoyed the fresh produce of the farm, thankyou again to Jane and David."
"Lovely peaceful spot"

"The location is very quiet and peaceful with beautiful surrounding countryside. Children will enjoy the farm animals and play facilities in the barn. There is much to do in the area and lovely walks for the dogs."
"Absolutely fantastic place. Large comfortable bedrooms with adequate storage space. Many many little extras thoughtfully provided, like an extension lead in each bedroom for all our hair appliances; DVDs, books, toys for the kiddies, bumper seats, travel cots. Oodles of local information & maps re walks, places to visit. Large, grassed garden which was safely fenced and gated - we were able to let the toddlers come and go as they pleased with no worries. Same with the dogs. The views are to die for, and the peace - wonderful. Local pubs both good, esp The George which has great food, try the Chideock Egg if there are any left, they're very popular. We didn't go out very much in the evenings. Enjoyed either BBQing or sitting around the large family table in the huge kitchen and then relaxing in the oh so comfy lounge with a film. Loca beach all within a few minutes drive and are clean, some pebbly, some sandy. We all returned home, relaxed and refreshed and counting the days until we can return."
"Lovely spacious bungalow with large garden our granddaughter loved along with the petting sheep. Only a short distance to gorgeous beaches. Will definitely return."

"very nice holiday the owners were very nice and gave us the freedom to go anywhere on the farm to look and feed the animals. ideal location to visit surrounding area. lots of room in the house, the only thing we did not like was the games room was not attached to house,it was in the barn."
