Located directly beside the picturesque old harbour close to Brewers Quay in Weymouth is Buccaneer Cottage. The property has excellent views of the harbour allowing you to relax in the comfort of your armchair and watch the ever changing scene. Fishing boats and luxury yachts pass right in front of you to find their moorings or to pass under the old town bridge which lifts and falls to allow yachts to enter the inner marina. Hope Square, where you will find a variety of restaurants and tea rooms along with the Brewers Quay building a conversion now housing a unique and interesting collection of shops is only a very short stroll away. The main beach with its golden sands and shallow waters is within easy walking distance or you may choose to take the charming row boat ferry and cross the harbour to the beach directly. The town centre with its array of high street shops, nine screen cinema and ten pin bowling is also just a short walk along the harbour and across the town bridge. Within a five minute walk you can reach Newton's Cove, a small sheltered beauty spot with rock pools ideal for children to explore and the adjacent Nothe Fort gardens; the perfect location for a picnic. The main beach is only a ten minute walk away.
Buccaneer Cottage Accommodation: Bedroom 1, double bed with ensuite shower, hand basin and toilet. Bedroom 2, twin single beds or a super kingsize double. Bathroom with bath, hand basin and toilet. 1st floor: Lounge / diner overlooking harbour. Kitchen. 2nd floor: Bedroom 3, double bed, ensuite shower, hand basin and toilet.

Our first visit to Buccaneer Cottage was a long weekend family break to celebrate my son's 50th. birthday in March, 2016, and we were so impressed with the cottage that this years visit was our fourth. We have not been disappointed, and would recommend this as an ideal venue for any family get together, especially if you want to include your pet dog. What is there to not enjoy when you are situated right on Weymouth's beautiful harbourside with stunning views from all windows and have numerous first class eating establishments all within easy walking distance. The cottage was clean, wecoming and well equipped. We left behind a tea strainer for anyone like us who makes coffee in the teapot in the absence of a cafetière. We stayed here last year and were bowled over all over again by the setting and view. Hoping to be back.
