Hay-on-Wye is known as the 'Book Capital of the World' due to its many new and second-hand bookshops. Hay Castle in the centre of the small town has become a centre for culture, arts and education. Fishing on the River Wye (own rod and license required). Hergest Croft Gardens just outside Kington, 9 miles.
