    Located just yards away from the centre of Keswick, this property is the ideal base for discovering all that the North Lakes has to offer.
    This beautifully presented, three-bedroom holiday cottage is situated in a quiet residential area of Keswick, 5 minutes’ level walk to the town centre. S49834 is an end terraced Lakeland stone property with the accommodation laid out over three floors, with each floor having mountain views. The furnishings are all very good quality, the bathroom and en-suite are both fully tiled and the kitchen is well-equipped. Keswick is an excellent base for your holiday in the Northern Lakes, as there is so much to do, from walking to mountain biking, sailing, rock climbing or ghyll scrambling; there is surely something for everyone. For the less active, there are trips around the lake, two parks with bowling greens and mini and crazy golf, a theatre, leisure pool, numerous visitor attractions and great outdoor activity shops, as well as pubs and restaurants for everyone to enjoy.

    "Great holiday. Great location. Parking tricky especially peak periods, probably due to excessive cost of Keswick public car parks: can't blame property for this and didn't bother us. Ideal property for family, possibly bit tight downstairs for 6 adults. We were only two so very spacious for us. Very well equipped but slightly worn in parts, suggest new bedlinen. Lovely old traditional Lakeland house. Warm and cosy. Need to ensure vacuum available."

    "Nice and central, but this property is very tired and needs a proper clean and review of equipment. House is very dusy with lots of hairs and fluff. Washing machine and dishwasher on last legs."

    "Located in the heart of Keswick, this property was idealy situated. The bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. However the living room did not provide adequate seating to comfortably accommodate 6 people."

    "We had a lovely week at S49834. It is very central in Keswick, in a quiet location, yet also easy to get out of Keswick. We walked from S49834 to Springs Farm, up Walla Crag, down to Ashness Bridge and round Derwentwater and back to S49834 in an afternoon. We also walked to and from Portinscale, Nicol End and Lingholm Garden.So for walkers, thoroughly recommended. We really liked the top bedroom on the 2nd floor, as it has a commanding view of Blencathra, while our guests used the en suite bedroom. The one downside of S49834 is that it doesn't have a garden, but that comes with being so centrally situated in Keswick itself."

    "Good location within walking distance to town and lakes. Parking tricky but not as bad as initially thought. The farthest we had to park was the next street along. House well equipped but could do with some recycling bins and a good deep clean in some areas.Stayed during a very hot week and found upstairs too warm; particularly for a baby and would have benefitted from a fan. Downstairs stayed cool though. Netflix was a nice touch. Fan in the shower room goes on for a while so would avoid using it at night if you're a light sleeper. Also whilst there are blinds and decorative curtains, the rooms let in a lot of light so pack an eye mask. Notes to ownersBedding in the main room is very bobblely and could do withreplacing.Light was out above the shower.Cheap toilet paper is a false economy...and we ran out as no spares rolls were left!"

    "Very pleased with the accommodation, the facilities were very good. Internet and Netflix were a bonus!The only down side was the parking we did struggle to park the car, the property would benefit from a designated space."

    "We can simply say that we felt very much at home in S49834. We ate in every night and were never short of cutlery, utensils and pots and pans. Not having a car, we relied entirely on the bus service which was always on time, and only a 7-8 minute walk to the main bus depot and Booths supermarket where we got all our provisions. The beds and sofas were extremely comfortable, and being able to switch the heating on and off as desired added to the comfort. It was also nice to see the owner had included some extra items such as torches, hot water bottles and an umbrella. S49834 would certainly be the first house I looked at on line if I was to return to Keswick."
