"We (three adults) spent a most enjoyable 4 night break in Bowness. S49945 is an excellent base to explore the South Lakes, and extremely central to all the amenities of Bowness. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well appointed, and a very comfortable place to return to after a day exploring all the area has to offer.Will definitely be returning!"

"Lovely apartment. Really clean, and equipped with everything you could need. Fabulous location, couldn't be any nearer to the centre of Bowness. The only negative was the neighbour directly above who allowed their child to run about until late every night and nearly midnight on the Saturday of our 3 night stay. Overall, had a lovely break with our two young grandsons."

"Its modern, clean and well situated flat. There is no parking space reserved for it though parking can be found on the corner of the street. There is a small collection of CDs and the games.when we stayed there the door to the balcony was stuck and we were not able to open it.Wifi worked really well so were the kitchen appliances,"

"The apartment was beautiful and very clean. The location was fantastic, literally 2 mins to the town and 5 mins to lake. However parking was a nightmare and if you were lucky enough to get a spot, move and it was gone. The local car park was very close but really expensive at @ £7 for a few hours. The accommodation was advertised as having parking however this was communal not specific. As a party with 2 elderly guests there was no mention of the very steep concrete steps to access the building. The apartment would be wonderful for 2 adults and 2 children but far too small for 4 adults. Because of the way the living room was set out, 4 people could not watch tv as you were sat sideways to the TV. It would have been better sited the other side of the room where the wooden cat is on a bracket? The another small chair could be fitted. The second bedroom was so small that there was not bedside table and a cupboard had been converted to house clothes, you could only access by kneeling on the bed, no good for people in their 80’s. In order for 4 to sit comfortably around the table, you had to move the table out into the living room which then blocked off the door into the hall and access to the kitchen. We are holiday home owners ourselves and all our ads state “not suitable for those with mobility problems” I don’t mean to sound negative and if we were a couple, it would have ticked every box as it is lovely, however as a group of 4 we won’t be returning sadly."

"Fantastic location and very clean, tidy and modern apartment. No dedicated parking space but we always managed to get a space in the nearby residents car park. The apartment was well furnished and even provided towels (which we hadn't expected). The outside of the building looked a bit dated but the inside was very well presented. "Our family stayed in S49945 for 4 nights. It was a fantastic stay and we really enjoyed it. The location is great, it is in the centre of Windermere, and 5 minutes walk to the lake. The owner was also very patient and helpful when I called her to ask some questions. Lake District is my favourite UK holiday destination, and I will definitely book S49945 again next time."

"The only reason for my saying that I shouldn't stay at S49945 again has nothing to do with the property per se, but my wife is very disabled and gaining access to the property, even although it was just at 1st Floor level, did restrict our movements somewhat. In every other aspect, the Flat had much to commend it: it was beautifully clean and had everything to make for a very comfortable stay, with the additions I suggested in the "Visitors" book on my departure."

However don't let this put you off, otherwise S49945 is perfect in all ways, clean, comfortable and perfectly positioned for the shops, places to eat and the boat pier all within 5 mins walk .. We accept it was Bank Holiday weekend, and possibly worse than normal times but, even after the Holiday weekend, the most number of places in the top car park we saw were 3. It appears that local people use it for shopping and evenings in Bowness. We are of a mature age and didn't expect to have to hunt for a space daily."
