The apartment is well situated to enjoy the superb attractions of Bowness-on-Windermere. Shops, galleries, delightful tea rooms, restaurants and the Beatrix Potter Exhibition are all within walking distance. Stroll along the lakeside or relax on a leisurely cruise around Lake Windermere. Other activities include watersports, cycling, climbing or hiking in the Lake District mountains. The fells are within a 5-minute walk and the Brockhole Visitor Centre is a short drive. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

    "As a family of 2 adults and 1 child, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend staying at S24413 cottage. The owners were easily contactable in order to arrange arrival details etc and were knowledgeable about the area. The cottage was clean and well presented. The kitchen was fully equipped.Our only negative feedback would be that we personally found the mattress to soft in the master bedroom. However, this would not stop us staying here again."

    "Beautiful cottage within a few minutes walk of the main street in Bowness on Windermere. Very comfy and nicely designed rooms, tried to turn up the heating one cold night but it just kept going back to 21.5oC which was disappointing. Although warned the parking space was small it was so tight, if timed right it was easy enough to find a place near by. Would recommend this cottage and would use again."

    "we have stayed at hotels and b and b's in Bowness on windermere a fair few times as its quite local to us and is a lovely place for a break away from home. We loved S24413e because it was in a brilliant location, just a short walk from shops, bars, restaurants, centre of bowness. Unlike the other places we have stayed at, it was a nice quiet retreat. The owners had thought of everything, down to the minute but important things and they made sure we had all the information we needed. Spacious but cosy and much better than just having a room to go back to and was very clean. parking only for a smallish car, however there is alternative free parking just at the end of the lane and the owners also provide a parking pass for use if you need it, so all covered."

    "Lovely cottage in good location. Everything you need in the kitchen and everywhere. Great shower. Great beds and all very clean. Communication with the owners was first class. My wife and I are very fussy about all the above and S24413 delivered!"

    "fantastic cottage. had loads of ideas of what you could do in the surrounding area to pass the time... or simply just chill with plenty of games ,books and dvds in the cupboard.beds were super comfy and a good nights sleep was had by all. only disadvantage waswe arrived after work when it was dark, and struggled to find the right entrance to the cottage.,and the name was etched into grey slate which didn't stand out .My two 20 something kids accompanied me, and the choice of live music and beer gardens appealed to them also"
