This romantic cottage is situated high on Birker Fell, opposite the owner's home, three miles from the pretty hamlet of Ulpha in the stunning Duddon Valley, Lake District. This lovely cottage is surrounded by magnificent scenery and is the perfect cottage for a romantic break and ideal for those who enjoy walking. This cosy cottage provides lovely accommodation with a first floor open plan living area with a woodburner, whilst downstairs there is a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with feature slipper bath. The whole cottage has a feel of delightful charm and character. Stepping outside, there is an enclosed pretty garden with spectacular views towards Scafell Pike. Even at night, the sky is enchanting with stars twinkling down. This cottage is so magical you may never want to leave! If you do manage to escape there are endless fells and footpaths to explore. The beautiful Duddon Valley is one of the most peaceful and pretty valleys in the Lake District with a superb country inn at Seathwaite which serves delicious food. Explore the Wasdale Valley where you will find the cute St Olaf’s church and England’s deepest lake, Wastwater with the magnificent Scafell Pike as a backdrop. Wasdale Head is one of the most photographed spots in England, and Eskdale valley is only three miles away. All year round this fabulous cottage will be a cosy retreat and the memories will stay with you long after you leave.

Dating back to the 11th century, Broughton-in-Furness is situated in the south western corner of the Lake District and is just six miles from Coniston Water. There is much to please the visitor such as a pretty, cobbled square complete with a splendid horse chestnut tree, enclosed by shops, pubs and homes, many of them Georgian in origin. The village provides an ideal base for a walking or climbing holiday, with ample opportunity to explore the rugged beauty of the Duddon Valley and the quieter Lake District fells.
