This Torver cottage is ideal for families and friends who wish to enjoy all this area has to offer, whether you wish to climb the Old Man of Coniston, kayak on Coniston Water, participate in excellent mountain biking from the door or simply sit back and admire this beautiful area. Located near the centre of Torver village, this cottage is a few minutes’ walk from a village store and an excellent pub serving delicious food and real ales and benefiting from a roaring log fire. Slightly further away in Coniston, there are lots of cafes and pubs and the charming village of Hawkshead is just 15 minutes' drive away, which has a host of specialist shops and the Beatrix Potter Gallery. The Grizedale Forest is easily accessible, with a host of walks and trails through the forest, and at the visitor centre is a tree-top adventure course for the younger members of your group to enjoy. Torver sits amidst some of the Lake District's most beautiful scenery. It’s known locally as a starting point for exploring the local fells and the Duddon Valley and offers a superb base for exploring nearby Hawkshead, Ambleside and Windermere.
