It's just a mile to the pretty town of Hawkshead, with its pubs and unique shops as well as the inspiration for Beatrix Potter's books - Hill Top. Also within five miles is the delightful area of Langdale, while Ambleside, on the edge of Lake Windermere is just a ten minute drive away, offering a range of amenities and activities.
