A rich variety of walks for all ages can be enjoyed from the door within this area of outstanding natural beauty, the location perfect for walkers and cyclists wishing to enjoy the great outdoors with the dog.

Nice cottage with a lovely period feel. However it needs alot of tlc, quite alot of areas where the condition was not up to standard, bits of kitchen cupboard hanging off, towel rail fell off, bedding not very good quality looked very old and worn. Mattresses poor, sofa very uncomfortable. No teatowels or oven gloves. Bin outside was overflowing with old rubbish and dog muck. The radiators were really hard to regulate leaving the house either far too hot or far too cold. The house wasn't very clean at all, lots of dog hair. The bathroom upstairs was unusable due to a leak in the shower which was dripping into the kitchen. This caused a sizeable crack in the kitchen ceiling, we rang for someone to come out but no one came. So we had one bathroom for 8 people which wasn't great. So on the whole it was probably one of the worst properties we've stayed in which is a shame as it has so much potential. I've clicked I'd recommend the property as I think if they just take some time to make repairs, clean it properly and improve bedding and furniture, it would be a very pleasant place to stay. However in its current state I would not go back again.

Huge shards of glass on floor when we arrived, our dog nearly had a bad cut, one shower worked, no chopping board which is dangerous to chop on a slippy work top surface, not all beds were made so we had to do this for my mother in laws room, hot taps were on boiling as soon as turned on, very dangerous, tired dated dusty house 25 minutes walk to the village not a short 15 min stroll like it says. Totally inconveneint for 2 older adults in our group.

Lovely location and great base for the Kentmere Valley, walking and cycling.
