"Brilliant. Took both cottages for an early family Christmas. Plenty of room for us all. Dog enjoyed the stay too. Walks from the cottages to Foxton locks."
    Vita – 2 Dec 2018
"We had the best time at S81524! Julie - the owner - greeted us and ensured we had everything we needed for the duration of our stay; she was also always just a text message away if we had any questions at all. Julie was extremely accommodating of our needs and we felt really looked after. The cottage is located in beautiful countryside, far from the road but near to shops and great pubs. Would highly recommend staying here!"
    Dorota – 28 Nov 2018
"We spent there charming 3days. Julie - the owner of the property was very nice and helpful. Cottage very clean and tastefully, rustic decorated. We will recommend it to everyone."
    Bex – 13 Nov 2018
"Lovely cottage, furniture etc. All great. Wood burner a lovely extra. The only things we’d have suggested as extras would be a hairdryer, milk and a cafetière!! The owner was fab, very kind and helpful, even giving us a jar of jam when we needed it for a cake!!"
    Barbara – 12 Nov 2018
"The cottage is semi detached and part of a barn conversion. It is comfortable, clean, well-furnished, and Julie met us very nicely on arrival. Our huge problem on this otherwise lovely 3 day break, was the fact the other part of the conversion, which has a "soundproofed" adjoining door, was rented out to a group of about 6 ladies having a reunion. Every single sound can be heard as the tasteful conversion, is unfortunately, like a box for noise. The party on the first night went on with music and conversation until 4 A.M., and was like we were all together in one large room. I've noticed many cottage rentals are saying NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. This needs to happen at S81524, unless the 2 adjoining properties are rented together. We would love to stay again, but we would want assurances that the neighbours were having a normal holiday and not holding an early hours party. The other problem we had was that the security sensors in the corners of the bedroom kept flashing white light if there was movement in the darkness. This could be caused by lifting an arm to pull over a duvet, getting up to go to the loo, or whatever. At first I thought it was a security light outside being disturbed by an animal, but then realised this was a flashing white light in the bedroom itself. The cottage was beautifully furnished, we had all we needed, but a hairdryer would be useful, I forgot to pack one. The washing machine was good, and our sons used this, but its in the "tower" part of the 2 cottages, not in the kitchen, however no problem for the boys. We had brought our own drying rack fortunately, the cottage didn't appear to have one. Small ironing board and iron was provided. Good quality fixtures and fittings, and decor very pleasing."

    Jan – 1 Sep 2018
"Immaculately clean, comfortable, well equipped, really nice outside area for bbqs and enjoying the sun. Wall mounted TV in a bit of an odd position and can hear adjoining cottage a little but overall a great cottage that I would definitely recommend and would go back to again"
    Jo – 25 Aug 2018
"Nice & quiet location. Only a short drive into town for supplies. Kitchen is well equipped so you can cook your own meals. The large grassed backyard was great for the kids."
    David – 7 Jul 2018
    "Excellent accommodation and location."
    Mary – 23 Jun 2018
"The cottage exceeded our expectations. Well furnished and equipped to a high standard. The landlady, Julie, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and we would definitely recommend the cottage to others.Had a lovely holiday in the area."
    Fiona – 6 Jun 2018
"We stayed at S81524 for a short break to meet up with friends - 4 adults and 2 children. The accommodation was very comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised by the location - it is in lovely countryside and walking distance of Foxton Locks. We didn't feel the need to travel far. Great outdoor space as we had fantastic weather we spent most of the time outdoors."
    Ian – 21 May 2018
"The cottage was in excellent condition, plenty of space internally and very adequate externally. The website said there was a washing machine, which there is not. Would benefit from having some more serving dishes and perhaps a bread bin; also would have been helpful to have some cleaning products (e.g. dishcloth, surface cleaner, bleach and a vacuum cleaner). However, overall we had a relaxing time and were very comfortable. It was very helpful that there were places where the dogs could be exercised. Easy access to shops in Market Harborough and main road that we needed to use; close also to Foxton Locks which unfortunately we did not have time to visit on this occasion."
    Shirley – 27 Feb 2018
"Lovely spacious cottage with excellent parking. Peaceful location. Perfect for a family, and very comfortable beds. Extra warmth from the wood burning stove if desired.Fox ton Locks within easy reach with walks on the tow path. Good food at the pub."
    Samantha – 11 Feb 2018
"Absolutely fantastic mini break with two dogs who enjoyed the walks along Foxton Locks. Already planning another trip with my parents who would also love it."
