Was a lovely break with my family. However we have stayed in better lodges. Upon arriving we had to ask for a tray to cook with as non in the lodge. The kitchen was quiet basic with only wine glasses or pint glasses. No washing up bowl in the sink. The carpet was threadbare by the patio doors and the wardrobe door was missing from the second bedroom. The hottub set up is too close to the lodge, it's right under the window of the main bedroom so constant noise through the night. Upon check out was extremely disappointed to be told by the owner that he would have to come round to check us out, I have never experienced anything like it. He checked all rooms, then went into the bathroom and counted the towels, he then accused me of a towel being missing, actually saying my child may have packed it in error. I counted the towels again and they were all there, he then stated that four people were staying in our lodge and there was only three towels. Was unbeleiveable two adults debating how many people stayed in the lodge. If he is going to be so maticulous maybe know your bookings in advance. Also close to a main road so is nosiey.

Beautiful site, very well kept and obviously take pride in it. Even though it is off a main road, it is very quite and peaceful.Disappointing that the hot tub was not available to use at all on the first night, at 11pm it still wasn’t hot enough. Some were available, think it is just luck of the draw as to what time it was filled. However it was great to see that they were checked everyday. Lodge itself was very clean. It has the bare minimum in the kitchen, only 4 of everything, plates, forks, glasses etc Basic pan set and one roasting tray, we did still manage to cook family meals. There were no mixing bowls and I have to admit I did miss a fruit bowl. Haha. Oven, microwave, Hob all spotlessly clean like rest of the lodge. Shower temperature was a little bit temperamental, switching from hot to cold like someone was running the tap or flushing the toilet at the same time. Towels provided and nice touch with the dressing gowns and slippers. Beds were comfy enough, and bedding provided. No drawer storage in rooms but wardrobes were huge and with a high shelf. The Heating in lodge was very good. Stable Wifi and free! Overall lovely small site and great for a short little break. We would visit again.
