    Mrs Wilkinson – 1 Dec 2018
"Well what a disappointment that was, the water was dirty on arrival and we took the filter out to have a look as the water smelt like a swamp and the filter was covered in green stinky gunk, it was awful so it put a real damper on the mini break and another real annoyance is we stayed there for Christmas and the place couldn’t be decorated for Christmas whereas other places we stayed for Christmas they have always provided a Christmas tree etc so this was disappointing as we have a 5 year old ..."
    Mrs Mayo – 1 Aug 2018
"The main reason for the break we booked was to chill together and use the tub / lazy spa, as it wasn’t on when we arrived we couldn’t use immediately and after .txt message and phone calls we found out how to operate it, when I took the cover off it seemed to be dirty so wiped it, the tub took until the following day to heat up so used it that day but it didn’t seem very clean, we were out on the third day of our stay so didn’t use and in the instructions it said to clean filter, on removal of said filter we found that it was filthy and we changed it but the water was very scummy and didn’t look fit to use, we took a photo of the filter and used the dipper we found for the PH levels which said it needed attention, we were informed by the man who cleans !!! It that he could come but not until late afternoon or early evening, Jackie did offer to let us stay until 3pm on our last day but as in my opinion the tub needed emptying cleaning and refilling we thanked her for her kindness but ended up leaving at the usual time on the Friday, if the tub isn’t going to be properly looked after they would be better off spending a little money on the back of the property as it is devoid of colour or comfort, there were 3 of us and only 2 chairs in the garden and as it sleeps 4 what are the others to do? It is a beautiful little cottage in a lovely setting with easy reach of some very nice places, the new plant shop at the castle is lovely, but don’t think I will book again"

"Plus we only found out by accident that the shower only turns on after running the sink tap! The beds were really comfortable, the cottage was super clean and welcoming and cooking facilities were great. Thank you xx"
    Miss Mahaffey – 1 Apr 2018
"Also the front door is very hard to open and close and sometimes the lights wouldn’t work and there isn’t any instructions on how to use the dishwasher and the washer dryer it would be useful to have those for people who don’t know how to use them and the hot tub was lovely but the step I think it is had bird poo all over it so I weren’t sure if they cleaned it properly. Overall it was a nice weekend but for the price I paid I would expect the hot water to be working properly, I would look elsewhere to book next time overall I’d say its a 3 out of 5."

"On the second day of our long weekend the hot water kept going off randomly so couldn’t use the bath. "The condition of the cottage was lovely. Perfect for a getaway to the country. Jackie had left information on walks and local places to eat which was really useful! We thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub, it definitely made the trip feel like more of a holiday. Couldn’t find fault with anything about the visit, Jackie was quick to respond via text if we had any queries. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again! :)"

    Miss Garner – 1 Feb 2018
"A great little cottage & is decorated lovely. I do feel slightly miss lead with the ‘hot tub’ it is actually a ‘lazy spa’ inflatable & not exactly what comes to mind when you hear hot tub. It also wasn’t working when we arrived & we had to change the filter (which was quite off putting to be honest) it took 12+ hours to heat so could only use it for part of our stay. I appreciate that it was unexpected but it would of been nice to have been checked before we arrived. Also the lack of ..."
