    Geof – 22 Oct 2018
"Fantastic location and views. Comfortable cottage with everything you require for a short break or a longer holiday. The owners kindly provided us with the best starter pack we've ever had."
    Roy – 12 Oct 2018
"When we saw the reviews of the property, and some of the comments in the Guest book, we were a little apprehensive. However- we need not have worried. As my wife and I do not normally sleep well, we decided that she would have the double bed and I had the sofa bed in the lounge. We both had good nights sleep for the duration of our stay, and did not find the beds at all uncomfortable- quite the reverse. The wood burner gave the cottage a homely feel. The TV worked well, in spite of the winds on a couple of nights. With regard to previous comments regarding dogs, surely anyone staying for a short period could manage: keep your dog on a lead in the garden, and exercise it somewhere else during the day.All in all, a relaxing stay in a pleasant property."

"Beautiful location, lovely cottage but attention to a few of things would make this review one of excellence. The bed is rock hard due to sheets of wood screwed to slats; the sofa is a tad small causing guests to elbow each other; the put- you- up sofa is rock hard and uncomfortable to sit on and the cottage could do with dusting and removing the ancient dust covered cobwebs between lets; the garden wire fence could be higher as you need to accompany the dog every time they go into the garden, due to the position of the cottage on the plot, it is not possible to see the dog at all times."

"Stayed in this cottage about 6 years ago, so this is our second time. Great cottage, great area, cottage could do with a little better dusting of cobwebs otherwise quite clean. Grill on cooker not working, washing machine would not spin & patio door lock needs some attention as it took a huge amount of effort to unlock & lock, but on the whole very nice stay."

"Amazing welcome pack and gorgeous location. Very helpful owner. Quaint little cottage."
"We were there in snow and strong winds and the wood burning stove made the building warm and cosy. There was also a very comprehensive welcome pack. The local pub, the White Hart served great home cooked meals and was very friendly."
"Cottage very cosy and comfortable. Very enjoyable week. Lovely sunsets"

"Friendly - well appointed - clean - comfortableWould recommend"
"The property is in a lovely position, looking out on open countryside. There was a generous hospitality pack. But it did have some "downsides". (1) We knew there was an attic bedroom but we did not expect the entrance door to be only 1.34m (4 ft 5 in) in height; plus the door frame had sharp edges so if you did bang your head you were likely to draw blood. The access stairs were also "dodgy". We could go up normally, but the tread depth was only 15 cm (6 in) so you had to come down sideways. (2) There were no operating instructions for any of the equipment except the TV.In our "cottage-staying" experience owners are usually quite conscientious about equipment documentation. (3) The accommodation was billed as for up to 4 people but it was not possible to seat 4. people round a table for "knife and fork" meals (4) Gentlemen had to prop up the loo seat with a knee to have a pee."
"Lovely place ., very clean and comfortable and nice views over fields .. Short walk to the nearest pub but we didn't venture in .."
"We had a lovely stay , were made to feel welcome , but the local pub was a dump"
