Located a few minutes off the main A16, The Old Coach House is situated down a quiet side street and sits within a matter of minutes walking-distance of the heart of the wonderful Georgian market-town of Louth. Boasting a wealth of history, The Old Coach House has been beautifully renovated and converted into a stunning, two-storey, ‘upside down’ detached house, complete with private outside, upper terrace area. Entering the property, you will be greeted by a large hallway with access to two spacious, wonderfully inviting and well-presented ground floor bedrooms. Bedroom 1 offers a luxurious king-size bed (which includes a zip/link feature for conversion to two single beds) and has easy access to the main bathroom, with an elegant bath and shower over, so you can decide how best to prepare for your day. Bedroom 2 offers and a superb double bed, and boasts its own sizeable en-suite bathroom with large shower enclosure, allowing you the necessary ‘me-time’ to ready yourself for the day ahead. Bedroom 2 (via the en-suite) also gives access to the utility room which includes washing machine, freezer and additional storage. Follow the stairs up to the first floor where a spacious open-plan living room awaits you, with sumptuousness Italian furniture, and an invitation to enjoy a variety of new and old TV shows, movies, sport, documentaries and light entertainment via Netflix, Amazon Prime and Freeview on the LG 4K 55-inch TV. Additionally, a DVD and Playstation 3 are included, together with a selection DVD’s, Blu-Ray’s and games for your enjoyment. If kicking back and relaxing is more your thing then take a snack or a refreshing drink and enjoy the fresh air, privacy and convenience of your own wonderfully unique enclosed paved terrace area. With seating for 4, electric points and easy-access, the terrace area is your little bit of outside inside, for relaxing or barbequing whenever the fancy takes you, regardless of weather. The kitchen has been amply-equipped with everything you could possibly need for an indulgent week in the countryside (a good selection of pots, pans, ovenware and baking equipment, together with Denby crockery, Russell Hobbs filter coffee maker and a large George Forman grill amongst other things), whilst the large dining table provides ample space for family gatherings, be that eating, playing board games or puzzling over a jigsaw. We welcome one well-behaved dog to join in with your holiday, and Louth offers a number of establishments that are dog friendly, Café Nero being a regular meeting place for pets and their owners. There are plenty of places to go ‘walkies’ but a trip to Hubbard’s Hills is a must. Although there is no actual parking at The Old Coach House, there are two free, well-lit, council-run car parks situated at the top of Cinder Lane (literally moments from the property). However, a ticket is required daily between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 which is available from the machine on-site. Alternatively, there are a couple of car parks in Louth that offer a weekly ticket for a small charge that are within an approximate 5 to 10 minute walk of The Old Coach House (details upon request). However, for the convenience of loading and unloading purposes, you are able to pull up just beyond the property (on the pavement) which makes dropping off, picking up and packing away hassle free. Louth has an array of tourist attractions to discover within walking distance, including its markets, antique shops and a plethora of eateries to indulge in. And let's not forget its fascinating Georgian history and many historic buildings such as the magnificent St James' Church and fascinating Louth Museum, full of exhibits and artefacts showcasing the community's history. If antiques are your passion then only 13 miles away you’ll find Horncastle which could not be a better location to while away the day scouting for a hidden treasure in one the many antiques shops the town is famous for. If you fancy a day at the seaside then you’re spoilt for choice. Skegness, Ingoldmells, Sutton-on-Sea or Mablethorpe are all within easy driving distance of The Old Coach House. Skegness and Ingoldmells being just 23 miles away, while Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea are only 15 miles. Not only that, but the popular Donna Nook, well-known for its seal pupping, is a mere 7 miles. If something a little more thrilling and dangerous is required then the amazing Cadwell Park motorsports circuit is a 5 mile drive. Cadwell Park is part of the MotorSport Vision Group which includes Brands Hatch and Donington Park amongst others, and offers a range of sporting events such as British Superbike Championships, Classic and Modern Motorsport Races, Driving Experiences and Trackdays to name a few. You’re within driving distance from the Lincolnshire Wolds (an area of outstanding natural beauty) where you will find, amidst rolling countryside, a wealth of scenic trails for walking and cycling, quaint villages, aviation attractions, RSPB and Wildlife activities, as well as a rich and fascinating history. Louth has a large range of shops, both national chains and local one-off establishments within minutes of The Old Coach House. However, if you’re in need of a retail pick-me-up, the historic city of Lincoln is 28 miles away, or the bustling town of Grimsby is only 15. With so much to discover in the area, The Old Coach House makes for an ideal base for enjoying an action-packed or leisurely family holiday.
