On arrival our caravan was still being cleaned. When we returned we called the on site office to check we could enter as there was still rubbish under the beds and bins overflowing. Two members of staff came to do a check and said the caravan was extremely dirty and tried as best as they could to sort it. (I don’t think they could dedicate the time to clean it as they had their own job to do) After they went we discovered the bathroom bin had still not been emptied and had dirty sanitary towels and make up wipes etc in from the previous occupants. The floors had been mopped but not actually swept or vacuumed so the dirt had just been pushed around. We ended up wearing shoes the whole time as our socks were filthy when we didn’t. Luckily I had bought my own cleaning products and was able to anti bac the toilets, kitchen tops etc One of the curtains in the lounge would not close and was just hanging on the rail by a couple of hooks. We did have a problem with the boiler not warming the water but an engineer did come out promptly to fix it. There was litter outside the caravan and underneath it too which could have easily been bagged up by the maintenance team. The location was good and the beach easily accessible. Lots of lovely places to visit nearby and old Hunstanton was a favourite for a swim in the sea. We also visited the on-site club which had some good entertainment. Tables had reasonable spacing although nobody wore masks, not even the staff which did concern me in an indoor space. We paid over £800 for this holiday which included the dog for 4 nights. I think this was not good value for money and for this reason would not return. Considering the current situation with covid and late check ins for extra cleaning the caravan should have been spotless. On checkout we were even more disgusted when we stripped the beds to discover the clean sheets had been put directly over mattress protectors that were covered in sand and dog hairs. It is just not acceptable. I booked this holiday along with my mum, sister and niece as a catch up as we had seen so little of each other the past 12 months. Unfortunately it will be a holiday to remember but for all the wrong reasons.

Expensive for a caravan holiday, but in these times one wouldn't expect anything else. The van was clean but a little tires, doggy friendly but only 4 wine glasses, no tumblers and 3 teaspoons. The double bed was the very uncomfortable, could feel every spring!

We arrived on the 9th August 21 - As we are in COVID times we were to head straight to our caravan, we could enter if the sign on the door was green, with the key for the caravan being left on the table as there was no check in procedure, which was fine. On entering our caravan, we thought that someone had forgotten to change the door sign as it was filthy, it didn't look like it had been cleaned for years. (i have taken photos) Lets start with as soon as you walked into the caravan you nearly fell over a hoover which had just been left by the doorway, the floor was grimy and felt sticky to walk on, with big long hairs all over it, bits of food remained under the dining table and by the fire also had like breadcrumbs everywhere, by the radiator in the living room area was so much dust on the floor quite obvious that this area had not been touched for months. when you run your fingers across the window sill pure dirt and dust. We then turn to the cooker, absolutely disgusting, didn't look like it had been cleaned the cupboard doors above had that much grease on them it was shameful. Even one of the trays in the cooker had not been cleaned just hidden under another tray. Then we looked at the cups and plates, again i'm sure things had been put away unwashed and some plates had long hairs all over them (they must have used the same mop they used to mop the floor)! We then move into the bathroom and to be honest it wasn't much better, it looked dirty. We were horrified, but obviously didn't want to make a fuss in front of the children as we didn't want to bring our dissatisfaction to their attention. I am pleased to say that the bedrooms had fresh linen and were tidy (well apart from make up on the floor but i guess to try and clean this up would be out of the cleaners responsibilities !) We didn't even unpack our clothing as the whole van just felt disgusting. We went to the local shop on site and bought cleaning products and went back and cleaned the hotspots of the caravan that we would be using. (dining area - cooker top - plates knives forks, floors etc) During COVID times you would expect nothing less than 100% cleanliness.
