Attractive All Northamptonshire Cottage sleeping up to 6 guests

This luxurious, charming, terraced cottage, overlooking Sulgrave’s 13th-century church, has fantastic entertaining and communal space for all the family and friends to get together. There is a unique well in the dining area, which has been made into a beautiful feature with a glass top and accompanying lighting. The property has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished to make it an idyllic, well-appointed holiday home. The cottage is situated in the pretty village of Sulgrave, close to the Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire borders, and surrounded by beautiful countryside which you can walk straight out to from the cottage. There is lots to explore, with Sulgrave Manor right on the doorstep. This Tudor and Georgian house was built by direct ancestors of George Washington, the first president of the United States.
Take a drive into the Cotswolds and explore the many towns and villages in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh. For shopaholics, visit the expanding Bicester Village designer outlet or the cathedral city of Oxford. There are many National Trust properties and gardens around the area, including Stowe Gardens, Canons Ashby, Upton House and Gardens, and Waddesdon Manor to name a few. For guests looking for a faster pace, visit Silverstone, home of the British Grand Prix, and Towcester Racecourse for horse and dog racing. Also within easy reach is Banbury, Blenheim Palace, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle. Shop 500 yards, pub 600 yards and restaurant 2 miles.

Confirmed guest – 7 Jul 2017
"It was a lovely cottage and perfect for our stay. We found both bathrooms problematic because of the lack of a shower curtain on the shower and the free-standing bath. This made showering without flooding the floor almost impossible."
Dale – 12 Jun 2017
"The Forge is a wonderful place to spend vacation time! The cottage is beautiful and well appointed. It is located in a quiet little village with friendly citizens, a pub and a shop and across the street a church. While off the beaten path and relaxing you are in close range of many great sites worth a visit for a score of historical, architectural and gardening reasons. To include Sulgrave Manor, ancestral home of George Washington, just two blocks away. Sarah had a ready smile and took care of the cottage well, and was always ready to assist us. Would definitely consider returning for another vacation here in the future."
Paul – 22 May 2017
"Please take note of your guests comments and buy a frying pan"
