    This super barn conversion offers an excellent base from which to explore the area or simply to stay in and relax. Situated in the rural village of Wood Burcote and adjacent to the owners’ home, this property makes ideal British Grand Prix accommodation and offers countryside views. The Granary Barn is 1½ miles from the centre of Towcester, which has many local pubs and restaurants serving food. Perfectly located set close to the borders of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Places of interest in the area include Bletchley Park, made famous in wwii, Towcester Races, Stowe House and Gardens, Althorpe (ancestral home of the late Princess Diana), Salcey Forest Tree Top Walk, Castle Ashby House and Canons Ashby (National Trust). For motor sport enthusiasts, Silverstone Race Circuit, home to British motor racing and grand prix, and host to Silverstone Classic and Moto GP events, is just 3 miles away. For the adventurous, discover xscape at Milton Keynes, offering indoor skiing, snowboarding and sky diving, just 20 minutes away. The impressive medieval Warwick Castle can be reached within an hour. There is a good range of small shops and restaurants in the historic market town of Stony Stratford, 8 miles. For canal enthusiasts, the Grand Union Canal is nearby with many scenic walks and pubs along the towpaths. The Stoke Bruene Canal Museum is a 20-minute drive, or a little further, shop till you drop at the Bicester retail outlet village, 40 minutes away. There are plenty of places to visit and explore with walking and cycle routes throughout this area, and for those wishing to explore further afield, Stratford-upon-Avon is less than an hour’s drive away.     "If you’re after a first class high quality holiday base look no further, this is the cottage for you. The owner has created two very private outdoors area for you to enjoy with uninterrupted views over open fields. Very secure paddock kept our Houdini of a dog contained. There are walks all around you. In the Cottage lots of little extras ( to numerous to mention) and very clever interior design with off angle walls makes the spaces interesting and enjoyable. No dark corners, light and airy with open beams. The nearby village of Towcester has a range of restaurants, pubs and even a newly opened supermarket giant. Plenty to do in the area and you can easily slip back into the fast road network from this rural retreat. Total gem .... book it now before it goes. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner, they are around if you want them , very non intrusive if you don’t. Very welcoming."

    "Lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable with private garden. Situated at the edge of the village, very peaceful. Extremely helpful and pleasant owners live next door. Lovely tea time welcome pack including biscuits was a lovely touch. Love the open plan, living, dining and kitchen area. The quirky shaped bedrooms are delightful. The whole cottage is flooded with natural light and the interior stonewalls are highlighted with multiple lighting options as evening falls. Would recommend a hand rail is fitted in ensuite to assist with getting in/out of elevated shower cubicles. Personal opinion, I would prefer to have a dishwasher instead of a washing machine. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again."

    "A very pleasant and peaceful spot, outlook is open fields to the rear of the cottage. Location excellent for the Northampton area; Silverstone nearby and Bletchley Park about half an hour away.Tea, coffee, washing up equipment and kitchen roll all supplied. Adequate crockery, cutlery and cooking pots etc. Owners also left a welcome pack of biscuits.Kitchen/ sitting room could do with a few extra lights and the central heating controls a little difficult to work out. Also the shower cubicles had quite a high step up so may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.Overall a lovely place to stay to explore a nice area of England."

    "Granary Cottage was very well equipped, even having a selection of DVDs, CDs , books& jigsaws. The owners, John & Jean were very helpful giving local info, eating recommendations & always on hand if needed. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Towcester is just a sort drive away with supermarkets & a good selection of pubs. We would definitely stay there again."

    "The owners were very friendly and made us very welcome. Milk, biscuits etc. were provided on arrival. We would certainly stay there again.The Granary Barn is right on the edge of Towcester and easily accessible from the A43 but the A5 in Towcester was being resurfaced which meant the centre of town was not accessible. The town appears to be doubling in size with new developments but the barn overlooks fields for some miles."
