Monameeth is a well-received bungalow in Bakewell, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and well-equipped kitchen. It's in a great location for walks and local amenities, with a welcoming pub nearby. The property is suitable for families and dogs, offering a cosy stay with efficient heating and hot water. Some guests suggest it may not be ideal for less mobile visitors due to low furniture and a high shower.
Guests consistently noted the property was very clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the bungalow.
The property's location is central to a lovely village and convenient for exploring local attractions, with good access to walks and a welcoming pub opposite.
The bungalow is generally comfortable, well-equipped, and spacious. However, some mature guests found the furniture low, suggesting room for improvement in comfort for the elderly.
Facilities are highly regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and efficient heating. There is mention of a dangerously hot towel rail and a need for a thermostatic valve, indicating a slight concern for safety.
The provision of a welcome pack for both humans and dogs shows thoughtfulness. While such gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

It's a difficult task because we were delighted with the bungalow when we first arrived. It was too big for two mature visitors but we knew it was meant for 6. The kitchen was well equipped and when we had trouble with the blind Jacksons were quick to assist. The heating was excellent. The rooms we used were well presented but the sofas and beds were too low for us when trying to get up (we're in our mid-seventies) so I wouldn't recommend it for our age group unless the occupants were very fit! A chair in each bedroom would have been helpful. I found the number of white doors confusing (I don't have dementia) so I used the nearby ironing board to help me find my bedroom initially. Shelving space needs to be closed in to prevent clothing items falling off the shelves.I enjoyed the ensuite but the towel rail became dangerously hot (particularly if a small child were to touch it). I was able to bring the temperature down a little but it really needs a thermostic valve on it.My friend considered the shower a bit high too in the bathroom but was able to remove it to use it.I hope our comments have been helpful because it could have been a property we would have liked to return to because of its location and being a bungalow but I'm sure a young family would probably love it.

Excellent accommodation, very well equipped bungalow backed up by excellent customer service from Cathy. Nice touch to have a welcome pack for not only the humans but our dogs too. Very nice to have good quality easy to clean floors throughout as we didn't have the best of weather resulting in some very muddy walkers. We were very grateful of the plentiful hot water and cosy simple to use heating. Kitchen wants for nothing and allowed us to prepare meals to feed all 6 of us with ease. Thoroughly enjoy by all 3 generations of our family and our dogs. A note to anyone looking to book, Monyash has no shops but Tesco do deliver to the door. The Old Smithy cafe is a must visit. We hope to return soon.
