Charming Matlock Cottage sleeping up to 7 guests

S86203 offers spacious accommodation nestled on the outskirts of the beautiful Peak District National Park.
Standing in the village of Darley Bridge, S86203 has been attractively and very comfortably furnished throughout, providing designer-style accommodation for a large family or group of friends wishing to explore this stunning countryside. This semi-detached cottage has a large living room with an open fire to cosy up in front of, and a fully equipped kitchen to create that special evening meal. The light filled dining conservatory opens out onto a superb terraced area with seating for all. Each of the bedrooms have been tastefully decorated with every detail being thought of, offering plenty of flexibility for your sleeping arrangements. The adjoining countryside has stunning views across the Derwent Valley.

Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its showcaves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze. South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst a short drive away is the National Tramway Museum at Crich. Anne – 11 Dec 2018
"Lovely place and key holder extrremely friendly and helpful. Could have done with a few more larger cooking pots/serving bowls as we cooked meals for 6 but this didn't detract from a very enjoyable stay."
Laura – 6 Nov 2018
"We had a lovely few days here, it is a lovely house and had everything we needed. There was 7 of us, 5 adults and 2 children and we all had plenty of space. We saw the Stag and Deer one morning which was great. We visited The Heights of Abraham, Bakewell and the Tram museum. The local pubs are within walking distance and we had a lovely meal at the Square and Compass."
Tina – 30 Oct 2018
"We had a wonderful stay with friends for a long weekend. The cottage was cosy and warm, very beautifully presented with a delightful welcome pack. Viewing the stags on the grass behind the cottage was a lovely experience for us and our children. Also many games, dvds and books were provided for our use which entertained the children in the evening. Loved the open fire too! Would definitely return again. Excellent location with 2 pubs nearby and lots to do in the surrounding area. Thank you!"
Saffron – 19 Oct 2018
"Lovely cottage in a great location. Everything we could possibly need for a great weekend away. Seeing deer in the back garden was a total bonus!"
Rachel – 1 Oct 2018
"Place was amazing. Perfect location for gullivers kingdom. Came with 4 adults and 3 children who loved it. House is very sound proof! Little extras on arrival were great. Everything you need for a great stay. We will be booking again for next year."
Shirley – 22 Sep 2018
"A party of 3.. Myself, husband and close friend, we all enjoyed a lovely four day break.S86203 is very nice and spacious, has everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable!Beautiful view of the woods at the rear of the house. Where you can sometimes see the stags grazing. The local Square & Compass Pub was very friendly and the food was excellent and at reasonable prices.Plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas.. Bakewell with good shops, cafes & restaurants and beautiful walks along the river. Matlock also has a good selection of shops and cafes, tea shops and restaurants. The Garden centre's in Matlock and Ashbourne are also worth a visit, both with very nice coffee shops. We're all looking forward to going back again next year!"
RICHARD – 12 Aug 2018
"Excellent property in fantastic area of the Peak District."
JOANNE – 29 Jul 2018
"Well located for some great walks"
Simon – 27 May 2018
"A great cottage in a great location and great value. We loved the garden & the countryside behind and made full use of dining al fresco over the barmy bank holiday weekend. The cottage is well equipped so you only need to take what you want for your stay. It was clean & comfortable. The pub down the road served good pub grub and it is only a short distance from the local attractions (we visited Arkwright's mill & Heights of Abraham). My one small criticism was that it is a little cramped in the lounge for 7 people. However, would certainly consider a return visit."
Jean – 23 May 2018
"This house was just right for our family of six adults and a baby. It was spotlessly clean, spacious and had comfortable beds. The sofas in the lounge were excellent too and the dining table big enough for us all to sit around. The location was also very good as we were only a few minutes away from Chatsworth and the Heights of Abraham which were our chosen trips out. We even had a good pub meal at the local pub on the Friday evening easily walking back."
Bonita – 24 Mar 2018
"Simply home from home. The owners were approachable & accommodating the property was spotlessly clean, decor fresh. Little touches such as leaving tea, coffee, wine & chocs were much appreciated. A travel cot and stair gates were available for my little grandson.I was also relieved that as a pet friendly property, my little dog could go outside safely. Many properties advertise as 'enclosed garden' but gaps in hedges etc make it non secure. Not so at S86203"
Martin – 24 Mar 2018
"Nice cottage. Clean and tidy. 4 bedrooms. Good location. Pubs within walking. 2 parking places. Good equipment. Real fire. Wifi. Perhaps less air fresheners as I'm not a fan"
Paula – 17 Feb 2018
"A beautiful house to stay in ...definately home from home...very comfortable immaculate and everything you could possibly need.... beautiful views of deer each morning ......would highly recommend cottage and location"
Julie – 17 Feb 2018
"Really nice house, local pubs very warm and friendly. Great walks from the doorstep."
Vanessa – 6 Jan 2018
"We had a fabulous time at S86203 celebrating New Year. The house was absolutely beautiful and very well equipped as well as being spotlessly clean. A great time was had by all and we look forward to booking again in the summer"
