Chatted with the neighbours they were all lovely. Loved the flow of the river as it is tidal. The front door catch needs adjustment as it will not close it is easy to fix.The TV needs adjustment as it is a week signal and flashes and you loose the picture. We loved the area and the accommodation was very clean and tidy. The top shower splashes on the floor and we did have to wipe it after every shower. Fix these few points and you have five stars. We loved it.

Loved rowing down the river which is right outside the property. Lostwithiel is a small town, very quiet but has everything you need. The railway line and station is very close and can be noisy but of great advantage for travelling. We had an excellent journey to Penzance where we joined an open topped bus at the adjacent bus station to visit Lands End. I would highly recommend this property to enjoy the wonders of Cornwall, it is in a good central position for exploring both country and the coastline. Very close to Fowey, lots of small bays, Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

However the guest information book needs updating as it says that parking is available in bay 38, which is being used permanently by somebody else. The balcony needed sweeping and the cobwebs cleaned off the railings. The outside furniture was firmly covered and the umbrella covered too. We were not sure if we were allowed to use it. It’s June and the outdoor furniture should be uncovered and ready for guests to use as per the photo used to advertise the property. Just a few points, but overall we enjoyed the house and Lostwithiel is charming.
