Up the stairs you will find two bright and airy double rooms leading from the first landing. Up another few steps is a second landing area; to the right is a bedroom offering a single bed on the left is a large family bathroom, boasting both a separate shower and large bath. Within the elegant town of Bridgnorth, there are number of attractions and things to do that all ages can enjoy. Divided into what is known as the ‘High’ and ‘Low’ Towns by the River Severn, visitors can traverse between the two using the Bridgnorth Cliff Railway. A nineteenth century funicular railway that travels up and down the 111ft sandstone cliffs in between the two areas. Lovers of history will enjoy visiting the sixteenth century Elizabethan manor, Upton Cresset Hall or the remains of Bridgnorth Castle, a twelfth century structure that was demolished upon Oliver Cromwell’s orders. Bridgnorth is the home of the Severn Valley Steam Railroad which runs a schedule of return service to Kidderminster. Those more energetic can canoe or kayak down river and make a nostalgic leisurely return on the steam train. Bridgnorth is a fascinating historic centre that allows visitors immerse themselves in centuries’ worth of history, it also makes the perfect base for exploring the surrounding towns and countryside in the lovely county of Shropshire.

Bridgnorth is a town that lies in two very distinct halves - the High Town and the Low Town - separated by the red sandstone ridge on which the town is built. The two halves are connected by winding streets and flights of steps, or there is always the steep funicular railway. A bustling Saturday street market provides an ample excuse to explore the town and examine the fascinating castle ruins. Below flows the River Severn, providing many pleasant riverside walks. In the areas surrounding Bridgnorth, there are plenty of places to explore, such as country parks, impressive houses, museums and picturesque Shropshire villages, as well as easy access to The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, and Ironbridge Gorge, with its 10 museums and striking landscape. The area offers excellent walking, and with the popular destinations of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton all within easy reach.
