Peacefully situated within the extensive grounds of the Pitchford Estate, these four properties offer superb holiday accommodation. The Generals’ Quarters (UKC2646) is named after a previous owners of the hall, General Sir Robert and Charles Grant. Guests will be situated in the West Wing, the oldest part of the hall constructed in 1549 (but with beams dating back to the 1250s), and the Hall’s Northern Range. The accommodation will be based on The Tudors and the late Georgian period. Guests will notice the two distinct periods as they move around the General’s Quarters, and will be able to decide which period rooms they wish to sleep in.
Windy Mundy Farm (RNG) has been converted from an 18th-century threshing barn and deer shelter and is located on an old deer park at the centre of the estate. The bespoke oak dining table offers a dining arrangement for 16 guests. Built on top of a south-facing hill overlooking Row Brook, and part of a working arable farm, it is surrounded by fields of wheat and barley and has spectacular, far-reaching views towards the Shropshire hills. Enclosed by a long stone wall, the farm has its own courtyard garden with a terrace and barbecue.
Stockbatch Granary (RJ6) is reached by a mile-long drive passing through the mixed arable land of Stockbatch Farm, with its fields of corn encircled by woodland. It comprises an 18th-century granary, clapperboard barn, stables and cowsheds, and nestles on a south-facing slope, at the bottom of which a stream wends its way gently along. A courtyard garden enclosed by a red sandstone wall provides a pleasant sitting-out area from which to survey the countryside views.
Tree House Barn (rddj) is a sensitively restored detached barn conversion which enjoys views of the world famous Pitchford Tree House (the oldest tree house in the world).
Within 6 miles of each property is historic Shrewsbury with its fascinating architecture, castle, museums, fine shops and wealth of traditional inns and restaurants. Easily accessible is popular Church Stretton, and Shropshire’s finest town Ludlow, framed by the gentle Clee Hills, with its impressive castle, magnificent church, many half-timbered buildings and Georgian red-brick houses. Bridgnorth has what is reputed to be the steepest cliff railway in Britain and superb cliff-top walks overlooking the River Severn below. From here, during summer, the Severn Valley Railway’s steam train chugs the scenic 16-mile route to Kidderminster. Attingham Park (National Trust), Benthall Hall (National Trust), Ironbridge Gorge and the old market town of Much Wenlock (with its medieval priory) are all within easy driving distance. Riding, sailing, fishing, golf, pubs and restaurants locally. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
Tree House Barn (rddj), Stockbatch Granary (RJ6), Windy Mundy Farm (RNG) and The Generals Quarters (UKC2646) can be booked together to accommodate up to 48 guests.

    Eleanor – 20 Jan 2020
"Large group of couples with a few children in tow went away for the weekend - fantastic space for a big group like this, with the beautiful living room separate from all bedrooms so kids could nap etc!Only 1 highchair and cot, but we brought an extra couple.Fab value for something as lovely as this - plenty of cooking equipment so we could feed ourselves, we mostly stayed in but did go for some nice walks nearby as well. Many thanks, would love to come back in future"
    Dan – 21 Nov 2019
"A group of 13 of us stayed here for 3 nights as a Christmas get together in the countryside. At less than £100 each it was superb value, the property was spotless on arrival and having spoken to the caretaker prior to arrival we were able to check in early using a lock box for the key. The equipment was all faultless and it's clear that the property is well looked after! 10/10 would recommend."
    Nikki – 2 Oct 2019
"Stunning property and view. Rooms very spacious. Amenities especially in the kitchen were spot on."
    Brigitte – 15 Sep 2019
"Lovely property that is very well equipped. Lots of large pans, pots etc that are ideal for the number of people/bedrooms. The only recommendation I would make would be to add some cereal bowls - there are only soup bowls."
    cally – 10 Sep 2019
"Clean. Accommodation flexible (lots of bedrooms). However, our double bedroom did not have a wardrobe! Kitchen well equipped and sufficient size for our large (12) group. Lounge dreadful, massive space, lighting appalling. The lounge was chilly during the day and freezing in the evening (rainy June). The central-heating is totally inadequate in this room. There is a log burning "feature fire" which has seen better days, which guests have to light, it is useless at heating such an enormous space. Besides freezing, everybody spending the evening in there comes out reeking of smoke! We were under the impression that this property was suitable for people with mobility issues, it is not. There are steps into the property and steps between the kitchen and the lounge. The access road got very boggy and rutted due to the torrential rain when we were there. So, anyone with a small or low car may want to be aware of this."

"Had a amazing time and enjoyed a lot"
    Andrew – 8 May 2019
"Fantastic and relaxing. Superb location. Clean and well equipped."
    Laura – 8 May 2019
"What a weekend. Amazing house in a beautiful location. Every possible utensil included, plenty of storage room in kitchen. Spotlessly clean and a total joy to be there. Booked for 14 of us for my husbands 30th and it was perfect. Only small issue was the very bumpy track up to the house. Please drive very carefully as there were some mammoth potholes!"
    Confirmed guest – 30 Jan 2019
"There was 19 of us and the farm accommodated all of us Incredibly well. We had such a comfortable stay and had so much space. We thoroughly recommend staying here."
    Janet – 2 Jan 2019
"Very warm and comfortable brilliant wood burning stove, the only downside I found was the lack of additional lighting in the wonderful lounge area. The service was great the dishwasher was replaced straight away dispite the fact it was Christmas."
