Good holiday but spoiled by lack of available activities and the bar and inside area closing at 9pm every day.

A small number of problems - nothing serious, just a bit annoying. 1. A key to enter the lodge was provided, but it was not the front door key, it was the patio door key. It took a while to work out that this was the case, a bit difficult in the cold, dark and rain. Not a great start. The front door lock was changed much later in the week and a front door key provided. 2. We could not find the thermomstat for the lodge. It was not until much later in the week, when the maintenance man was changing the lock, that he explained there was no thermostat in the lodge. Annoying, becase the lodge was way too hot, especially for sleeping. 3. There were no user manuals for the equipment in the lodge and so we had to guess how to use the dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Although we managed to get them working in some sort of fashion eventually, we doubt they were at the settings we would have chosen had we had the manuals. As stated, not serious, but annoying.
