"Nice property, clean and comfortable. Claydon House and Gardens were closed when we stayed therefore it was extremely peaceful and quiet just how we like it!"
    Abby – 3 Nov 2018
"Lovely cottage, very clean and spacious. The enclosed garden was brilliant and we enjoyed it as much as our dog. We really liked visiting the house and gardens, and also the nearby Waddesdon Manor and Stowe Gardens. Would stay again!"
    Caroline – 28 Oct 2018
"The cottage was very beautiful and tastefully furnished . It has a really lovely enclosed garden and is very peaceful .There is the added bonus of the house and gardens to visit."
    Fergus – 19 Oct 2018
"Very peaceful and beautiful location handy for visits to the various spectacular NT properties nearby, and of course Claydon House itself next door. Good base for Bletchley Park as well. Spacious and comfortable cottage with an enclosed garden at the rear which would be very dog friendly. Highly recommended."
    Linda – 18 Oct 2018
"Loved it ! Having a secure garden for our dog made it perfect, we will come back and perhaps it won't rain so much. Many thanks.Linda."
    Catriona – 13 Oct 2018
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is very cosy and comfortable. Everything had been thought of and we immediately felt at home. Lovely little garden to sit in and Tess the dog loved the walks!"
    Joan – 22 Sep 2018
"Loved the location of the cottage. The garden and house at Claydon are excellent. Peaceful surroundings and our own garden to sit in. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and much larger that any other properties we have stayed in. It was in a very good position and a number of National Trust properties were within easy reach. (under 20 miles). There was two scrumptious pieces of cake and a pint of milk left for us when we arrived which was very thoughtful. Bed was comfortable with nice bed linen. Would highly recommend this property."
    Sue – 10 Sep 2018
"This is a very special cottage. Light and spacious in a glorious privileged location. It is clean and well equipped with lovely quality furnishings, bedding etc. The private enclosed garden is a bonus. It is very quiet when the National Trust property is closed. Attractive art and craft studios to visit when it is open and the house itself has a fascinating history and is well worth spending the time to look around it. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking."
    John – 26 Aug 2018
"A pleasant cottage in peaceful surroundings where we were able to have a restful week. Plenty of places to visit in the locality. We were aware when booking the cottage that the local amenities were limited but there is a cafe on site and a Coop store within a short distance."
    Deborah – 13 Aug 2018
"This was the perfect location for lots of reasons. The surroundings were beautiful, the cottage itself was comfortable and the garden was lovely (and completely enclosed which is not always the case even when it’s advertised that way).Very peaceful even though it’s part of a tourist attraction and quietly self-contained."
    Irene – 12 Aug 2018
"Disappointing .....We have stayed at many self catering holiday homes, our initial impression was that hospitality was not up to the normal standards. We recommend the owners review their welcoming....A bottle of wine, some local produce, bread, butter and sometimes we have had local jams.We got 2 slices of very tasty cake...good.....a few packets of tea coffee and drinking chocolate. Milk....And a bowl of fruit...that was it.No toiletries ...most unusual....Not a flower in the place....I also considered the tone of what to do before you leave a little condescending Plus I have never stayed anywhere I have had to strip the beds.I recommend our hosts do more homework and go and experience an excellent holiday rental. The paintwork particularly around the Windows needed attention. The entrance porch had not been swept for a long time...neither had the back porch.Apart from that it was fine...."

"We enjoyed our stay. Lack of NT signposts a problem if you don't have a Satnav. A long way from other amenities (like shops and a newspaper (in Wilmslow). Cottage well equipped and it was good having a private garden."
    Alfred – 24 May 2018
"A unique cottage, we liked the private walled garden"
    Sue – 16 May 2018
"Charming cottage in a wonderful location. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped with appealing furnishing. Although ‘in the middle of nowhere’ being a National Trust property there is the benefit of a house to visit, a café across the Courtyard and wonderful grounds to walk in. Extremely peaceful after hours. We found a good choice of dog friendly pubs to eat in and an invaluable co-op in a nearby village. There are several art and craft studios to tempt you to part with your money and even courses to attend ( which was the purpose of our stay and excellent ). Beware of enormous potholes in roads nearby. The worst I’ve seen anywhere. I’d recommend this cottage and have already booked again so that I can attend another art course in this very special setting!"
    Tom – 8 May 2018
"A lovely cottage on a beautiful location. The private garden was loved by our 2-year old. He loved playing in the garden. Also the Claydon gardens were beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage."
