This very pretty Grade II listed thatched cottage was originally the home of the village wheelwright and has only had 3 owners since it was built!  A delightful house comfortably sleeping 5 plus an additional child, it has a large fully enclosed garden with plenty of room for a game of football or cricket and for the family dog to let off steam.  Located on the edge of the rural village of Adisham, there are plenty of opportunities for country pursuits on the doorstep. If you are interested in joining a local Shoot this can be arranged by the Owner (in season) and the house has a secure gun cabinet and kennels in the garden for the gun dogs.  Howletts Wild Animal Park is a great day out for the family and is only eight minutes drive away, or venture just a few miles further to the cathedral city of Canterbury with its myriad of medieval streets, museums and cafe culture to enjoy.  Closer to hand there are lovely local pubs like The Griffin's Head at Chillenden or The Fitzwalter Arms in Goodnestone, where you can also visit beautiful Goodnestone Park gardens. Gibsons the  excellent farm shop with delicious local produce and a cafe is just 2 miles away.  If you would like a little luxury head to Broome Park golf and country club only ten minutes drive, where you can enjoy the leisure facilities with a heated pool or take in a round of golf.  However the most enjoyable option may just be to cosy up round the inglenook fireplace with your favourite tipple or a steaming mug of cocoa, after a ramble in the countryside.   Shop: 2   Pub: 3.3    Coast: 11

Garden: A pretty cottage style garden to the front and rear of the house with mixed flower beds, a paved patio area with barbecue and garden furniture to the rear of the house plus a large lawned area. There is a sealed covered well in the front garden. The whole garden is enclosed and secure.

Pets: Accepts 2 well behaved dogs. Please take own bowls & bedding and ensure pets do not go into bedrooms or on furniture. Never leave pets alone in the property. Please clear all evidence of pets from gardens etc. before leaving. 

Kennels: there are 3 fully secure kennels in the back garden

Parking:  To the side of the house is a large gravelled drive with ample parking for 4+ cars

Heating: Central heating and wood burning stove

Notes:  If you are interested in joining a Shoot (in season) please contact the Home Owner in advance. There is a secure gun cabinet in the house. This is a period property, therefore there is low headroom in some places in the house and some narrow doorways.  The smaller double bedroom floor is uneven in places due to the age of the house.

Security Deposit: Refundable £150 security deposit payable 2 weeks prior to your arrival
