Treacle Cottage at Treacle Den - E5385 sleeping up to 2 guests

Treacle Cottage provides the perfect home from home comforts for your romantic getaway to Kent. The views alone will keep you sweet. . Treacle Den and Treacle Cottage are two cosy little cottages ideal for couples looking for somewhere to get away from it all. Situated in the grounds of the owner’s home on a quiet lane in the countryside, both cottages are cleverly arranged for maximum privacy, ensuring a peaceful retreat. Within 100 yards of the cottages lies an excellent local pub that enjoys a superb reputation for its restaurant. Traditionally beamed, the pub takes its name, Botolph’s Bridge, from the local legends surrounding St Botolph, a 7th-century monk. There is an excellent selection of beaches to explore, all within 3 miles, and many beautiful walks including the Royal Military Canal which has recently seen improvements for walkers and cyclists. There are many local villages, gardens, museums, monuments and castles well worth a visit. The cottages sit conveniently within a few minutes’ drive of the motorway yet each enjoys a tranquil spot with countryside to the front and views of Lympne Castle across the fields to the rear. West Hythe is a tiny hamlet within 3 miles of Hythe, Dymchurch and Lympne. Set in a conservation area, with excellent local walks.

    Hazel – 27 Nov 2018
"It was a super well equipped and cozy cottage that is lovely and quiet, the perfect place for a quiet getaway. The pub over the bridge and across the road served wonderful food and, I thought, good value. The views across the fields up to the castle were magnificent. Although it would be handy to be able to walk to the shops I loved that there was nothing close by, except the pub! The torch to get there was very helpful. If you want somewhere to stay in beautiful surroundings, quiet but within 30 minutes of castles and 5 of a beach then this is the place to be."

"We had a wonderful stay at Treacle Cottage , It was very clean comfortable and welcoming ,Natalie the owner is very friendly and introduced herself to us and also supplied a lovely welcome gift. One of the highlights for us was opening the curtains in the morning and seeing so many sheep at the bottom of the garden. The local pub is about one minute away and is very friendly also great food. We definitely will be making a return visit soon ."
