Goodwin Cottage is a family house on three floors near Bleak House of Dickens fame, and close to the East Cliff Promenade in Broadstairs. This spacious property with lovely sea views is in a quiet location within walking distance of the town centre with its shops, pubs and resaurants, and close to the beaches of Viking and Stone Bays. The mainline station gives easy access to London and there is a shopping centre with leisure facilities a short drive away at Westwood Cross.

Excellent location in a quiet road with the sea nearly on your doorstep. You can see the sea from the top bedroom window so every morning I would check the weather by looking at the sea, blustery, calm etc. All the shops, pubs, restaurants are all within a few minutes walk as well. Highly recommend seeing a film at the Palace Cinema and sitting in the balcony. It only seats 111 people and is a lovely place to see a film. You can walk to Ramsgate along the coast, you can walk to Margate but it’s longer and there is a loop bus. We jumped on a train to Canterbury as Broadstairs station was 10 mins from the cottage. First time in Broadstairs and loved staying at the cottage which was very homely and comfortable and we slept very well every night. Will come again.

We loved our stay at Goodwin Cottage. It had everything we needed and felt like a home from home. We all would have liked to stay a few more days. The beach was so close as were the shops and it’s ideal for getting out and about. We visited a number of English Heritage castles and the Spitfire and Hurricane Museum in Manston. Lots of places to eat out or have a drink.
