About this property

Newly converted with a superb finish, this character cottage in Dorset’s spectacular designated National Landscape invites couples to rest, recharge and recover after long days of hiking, cycling or exploring the Jurassic Coast. The town of Beaminster is just 1 mile away, with a footpath beside the property leading down to the town and onwards to Parnham (1.5 miles), Mapperton (3 miles) and Netherbury (2.5 miles). Despite its modest size, Beaminster is a renowned hotspot for artists and foodies, as well as home to award-winning gardens. For a busier atmosphere, Bridport lies just 7 miles away and offers antique lovers a whole quarter to explore. Nearby, West Bay (8.5 miles) is backed by the dramatic cliffs of the Jurassic Coast. From here, you can follow the South West Coast Path to soak up even more coastal scenery, eventually reaching Cogden Beach (11 miles), which merges seamlessly into the vast Chesil Beach (25 miles).

Wood panelling, muted tones and high, beamed ceilings add to the sophisticated feel of this two-storey property. Step straight into the open-plan living area, where you can knock off your boots, hang up your coats and make yourselves at home. The kitchen is a neat, contemporary space for cooking your favourite meals, with a dining table alongside for easy serving. The lounge area features soft seating, a wood burner and a Smart TV – perfect for cosy nights in. As evening falls, head upstairs to the luxurious super-king-size bedroom. With visible beams and an impressively high ceiling, this attractive room is a joy to wake up in each morning. The bed is a zip-and-link, which can be arranged as twins if required, and the warm lighting enhances its restful atmosphere. A deep hand basin is set within the room, while the en-suite is split with a separate walk-in shower and WC.

Contemporary aluminium French doors lead from the lounge into a suntrap courtyard. Simple yet stylish, the patio is edged by landscaped borders and local stone, with a bistro set providing the perfect spot for morning coffee. Private parking for one car is also available.
