From the cottage you can stroll through lovely wooded valley to neighbouring Netherbury, where the original 'River Cottage' is located. An easy drive takes you to the lively market town of Bridport and to West Bay (TV's Broadchurch) on Dorset's stunning Jurassic Coast, whilst Lyme Regis, Dorchester and Weymouth are all easily accessible. With lots to see and do nearby, there are two very good pubs in the area the Greyhound and the Red Lion. Both are about 300/350m away these can be found on the main square in Beaminster. There is also the Ollerod Hotel to go to for a drink and a meal, just a further 150 m beyond the two pubs or If you would prefer to pick up a quick snack on the go, a well stocked co-op is located just 200 meters away.
