About this property

Nestled in the depths of Temple Wood, the Pink Cottage is a romantic retreat sleeping two on the Weston Park Estate. There are an abundance of walks and things to do on the Estate, while medieval Shrewsbury and the Shropshire Hills AONB are also in easy reach.

Nestled in the depths of Temple Wood, Pink Cottage is a romantic retreat sleeping two on the Weston Park Estate. Set over one floor, compromising a spacious kitchen, unique sitting room with wood burning stove and glass doors opening into the gardens, cosy bedroom and modern bathroom, the cottage is the perfect hideaway for two.

Through the entrance hall, the kitchen has a modern grey and cream design fully kitted with oven, hob and fridge freezer, with dining table and chairs. The sitting room features a sugared almond colour scheme, with a love seat and sofa huddled around the wood burner. The cosy bedroom with oak furniture and chunky rugs leads into the en-suite bathroom with walk in rainforest shower, free standing bath and mural of the House adorning the back wall. To the side of the cottage is a patio set, perfect for warm summer nights, and a large private garden.

Set in a clearing in the heart of Temple Wood, the cottage is surrounded by 1,000 acres of Capability Brown parkland that Weston Park has to offer, being a stately home, events venue, visitor attraction and luxury get away all rolled into one. At certain times of the year you will need to share the estate with a wide variety of events that take place in and around the Parkland. There are also times of the year where no events take place on the Estate so please click here to take a look at the calendar – you may even be planning to come along to one! The Shropshire/Staffordshire area also has plenty to explore with the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge and its famous museums, foodie destination Ludlow and historic Chester all within easy reach.

The Weston Park Foundation, the independent charitable trust who own and maintain the estate has given each property a new lease of life balancing comfort and modernity whilst remaining sympathetic to their extraordinary heritage thus providing a rare opportunity to stay in the heart of this historical estate.

Easy instructions to access the cottage. It is set in the most beautiful setting and hidden away. The cottage is a luxurious home from home and the welcome basket a lovely addition with a good selection of items. The whole cottage is so pretty with the log fire and the gardens in the spring summer would be a lovely area to use too. The bed and sofas are comfy and a good shower. The cottage provides good information on things in the local area and it was easy to get around from the site. We will be looking to return and maybe try another cottage on the site.

The property is delightful, however we found the wood burner was creating a lot of smoke inside the property.
