About this property

This is a quaint terraced cottage in the Shropshire village of Ironbridge. A place with stunning views and traditional features proves perfect for a trip to this attractive location. Situated next to the River Severn, within meters of the Bridge and the workshop of the last coracle maker, the view is one of tranquillity and history. Enjoy a glass of wine or coffee on the patio area of the front garden, and maybe even catch a glimpse of a leaping salmon or kingfisher. This cottage emits a feeling of relaxation and comfort, starting with the large sofas in the sitting room, sat in front of a traditional log burner, enjoying the peace, although a Smart TV is available for accessing your favourite channels or Netflix account. An open plan kitchen/diner at the rear of the cottage continues the homely feeling, with its period features. Upstairs there are two large sized, refreshingly decorated bedrooms. Quaint fire places and beams are a feature of the cottage. The bathroom shows real antiquity as it contains an out of use open fire, which adds to the quirkiness of the cottage. The view of the River Severn from the front of the property is an enviable feature and can be enjoyed from the seating area in the south facing garden next to the river bank. The rear garden also captures the sunshine and a raised decking area and pretty rockery provides a more secluded seating area. Just beyond the back garden sits the town of Ironbridge, making it just a matter of yards until you get to experience this amazing village with so much to offer. An extensive array of restaurants, wonderful walks, iconic history and a relatively undiscovered county will all add to the enjoyment of your stay. Ironbridge has endless activities and historical sites and is perfectly situated to explore this beautiful county.

Ironbridge Gorge is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. The area is far from industrial and nature has reclaimed most of the former industrial sites, leaving a beautiful wooded valley. The gorge is a now a maze of footpaths, bridleways and country lanes whilst the village is famous for being home of the world's first iron-built bridge, built between 1777-79. The village has a variety of pubs, restaurants, shops and tea rooms and a collection of industrial and Victorian museums makes up the Ironbridge Museums Trust, including the exciting Blists Hill Victorian Village.
